Bottle. A creamy, finger-thick off-white head sits on top of an almost clear, golden body. The aroma is resiny and citrusy, leaving little room for the malts. Pleasant. Flavorwise the maltyness is more evident, but left in the back, it’s the hops that run the show, with resins and a nice bitterness stretching out into the very end. Smooth and full-bodied on the palate. A really pleasant pale ale, one that I could easily down a few of quite frequently. 110610

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a huge orangey head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, caramel, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons, hops, dust, and malt, leading to a dry, and bitter finish.

@ ACBF 2011. The aroma has some malts, citric, very fresh hops. Hazy, yellow coloured beer with a white head. The taste is light bitter, malty and has some nice fresh, citric hops. Light-medium bodied beer. Okay.

Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. May 2011.
Aromas of some fruits, grassy hops and caramel malt. The taste is slightly fruity with a nice bitter after taste. Smooth and drinkable pale ale without any fuzz.

(Draught@Pikkulintu, rated 2011-07-08) Hazy golden with a small, firm and creamy, lasting head. Aromatic, exotic-fruity nose with orangey citrusness and pale malt. Quite heavily bitter flavor, with the bitterness lingering in the palate for a long time. In the middle, there is some aromatic, exotic fruit, slight sourness, and caramely maltiness. Slightly thin and carbonated palate. Way too much bitterness for the body, and lacking in the fruitiness department.

Bottle from Kihøskh, Copenhagen
Deep blond color, hazy; generous head. Very nice aroma, of fruity and resiny hops, with sweat and manure, hay. As expected from Croocked Moon, the mouthfeel is extremely dry; it’s also lean; dry toffee flavor, dry caramel; very strong bitterness, with generous amounts of hop oils and resins, leading to a long and almost harsh final. Extreme and thirst quenching.

33 cl bottle: Hazy golden orange beer with a small but frothy head. Aroma is caramel malty with "green" notes of grassy, slightly floral hops. Light sweet flavor with a heavy resin and spruce-like bitterness. Light to medium body, oily texture and average carbonation. Lingering dry and bitter finish. Goes down the drain very easily. One more, please.
