Brought this back from McCall, ID where I got it a Paul’s Grocery and shipped a bottle to Strykzone in a trading box. We shared it on Facebook Chat. It poured a clear copper color with a light tan head and good lacing rings. The nose is citrus hops. The body is quite bold and the mouthfeel very rich and creamy . The flavor is dominated by the hops, with a lot of citrus but some floral tastes as well. The oatmeal is there in the malts and blends perfectly with the other malts and hops. Excellent balance overall. The finish is nicely bitter and this one is good to the last drop. The addition of oatmeal really works here.

Bomber from Hayduke. We had this together via facebook chat. The beer pours light coppery and is clear with a beige head that has good retention. The aroma is, well, like an IPA with oatmeal. It is unique and the hops are muted a bit by the oatmeal. They are citrus and fairly bitter. That bitterness is long lasting in the after taste. The oatmeal had a significant effect on this beer. I have not had such a combination before and it makes me wonder why other brewers don’t do this. Hops are allowed to shine if different ways.

Unique IPA. Love the smoothness, great flavor. Always worth a growler fill when they have it on tap. One of my favorite locals.

Bottle: Pale gold color with a small off-white head. Floral aroma and something flat. Low-lying bitter flavors with a kind of funky bitter trailer. Weird, but I liked it.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 nearbeer (3048) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 27, 2012
22 oz. Light haze on the lively, amber body and a half inch of lasting foam on top. Nose is grapefruit and caramel. Taste is the same, but more grapefruit and less caramel. Big bitter finish of resin and oaty-cardboard. Near-medium body is dry and soft.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 AdamGott (382) - Idaho Falls, Idaho, USA - OCT 14, 2012
Copper/yellow pour (strange to see this in an oatmeal beer), lots of head - aromas of hay, light caramel, slight citrus, sour wheat - first taste is hops with lots of alcohol feel on the tongue and mouth - a bit thin with a lingering hops bitterness

Light copper, clear, off white head. Aroma: a little nutty earthy oat character, light citrusy hop aroma, some fruity esters. Flavor: very earthy-nutty oat character, resiny hop flavor with some green vegetal notes, medium-full body with some oat silkiness in mouthfeel.

Bottle: Dull copper color with a thin sandy head. Mild aroma starts off with florals, but ends up a little more on the citrus side. I really am enjoying the flavor and the body of this brew. Soft and creamy, just the right amount of carbonation. Flavorful floral hops and just a little citrus. Nice flavor profile to taste the hops without being overly bitter. I don’t remember what the cost was, either 4 or 5 bucks for the bomber, but it was well worth it and I would certainly buy this again.
