dbutler4699 (13), Elyria, Ohio, USA Dec 2, 2000 Obviously, a quality beer.
patrick767 (1547), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 17, 2007 bottle - Pours yellowish and hazy with fine suspended yeast and a very thin head. It smells of yeast and a trace of citrus. The flavori s yeasty and malty. It’s light and avoids being too watery, so it’s a decent warm weather quaff but not something to seek out. beerguy101 (3542), Newark, California, USA Jan 29, 2005 Medium gold color. Small white foamy head. Aroma is bready malts, with a touch of sweetness. A medium bodied Dort/Helles. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are mild and slightly spicy. Light and refreshing. Crisp and clean. Mild flavor. Good lawn mower beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. deprogram (111), suquamish, Washington, USA Mar 23, 2004 12 oz. bottle Just plain... unimpressive. The hop fragrance is slightly stale, although I can pick out the Hallertau. Quite thin, pale yellow, the sudsy white head diminishes rapidly - altogether lager-like. Certainly drinkable, and certainly acceptable, but doesn't quite make the grade. hershiser2 (848), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jan 31, 2004 Light amber in color, small head that disappears quickly.
Smell: average... this is beer, not liquid gold.
Something funky about the taste. Reminded me somehow of eating stale pizza crust. Not horrid, but not my glass of beer.
Mouthfeel was funky, almost scratchy... dunno how that can be, but whatever, that was my reaction.
I'm no gonna drink this beer again, I don't care if it local. It's drinkable, but not worth it. haddon90 (960), Alexandria, Virginia, USA Dec 15, 2003 Deep, lightly clouded amber pour with a nice off-white head. Aroma contains malt and slight hops as well. Smooth, somewhat citrusy yet slightly bitter taste. Very crisp finish. A fine brew by Crooked River!!
