Bottle bought @ bierkompass.de. Pours hazy deep golden with a small fizzy white head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is fruity and funky with crackers, pink grapefruit juice, pineapple juice, lime juice, passion fruit, star fruit, black raspberries, oily pinecones, moist grass, pineapple hard candy, moist wood, dry soil, barnyard, orange zest and lemon zest. Taste is sour, tiny bitter, slightly salty, fruity and funky with crackers, saltines, pink grapefruit juice, lemon juice, lime juice, pineapple juice, passion fruit, unripe mango, freshly cut grass, pine needles, red currants, dry soil, barnyard, apricots, kumquats, minerals, orange zest, lemon zest and hints of resinous wood. Mouthfeel is dry, tart, tiny oily round and light to medium bodied. Finish is sour, slightly salty, slightly fruity and funky with saltines, grapefruit juice, lime juice, unripe tropical fruits, red currants, pine needles, freshly cut grass, resinous wood, dry soil, barnyard, minerals, orange zest and lemon zest. Heavily influenced by the hops in a nice and refreshing way for a sour.

Tasted on 2/8/14 from a bottle at the RBWG Grand Tasting, big thanks to Aaron Nielsen for sharing. Pours hazy pale yellow with an average white head that slowly recedes to average spotty lace that leaves some residue along the inside of the glass. The nose is really great dank resin and tropical fruit hops with all of the perfect citrus sour that I have come to expect from Crooked Stave. The flavor is a touch sweet up front, balanced by the citrus sour, moving to the same nicely bitter resin and tropical hops from the nose. The body is nearly full with average carbonation and a long hoppy and sour finish. With a bit more time, this might get as good as the original L’Brett D’Or.

Hazed yellow color, fluffy white head. Great beer! The wonderfully clean sourness, the tropical fruit and the addition of the hops combines to make a killer beer. Delicious.

Keg at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014, green session. 03/05/2014. Aroma is big nice brett, orange, funk, pineapple fruits and some dank notes. Hazed yellow / straw coloured pour with a halo of loose white head. Flavour is jammy pineapple jelly, sharp orange citrus and just a whiff of smoke phenols. Palate is nice a crisp sharp, sligght pucker, hint of acid. Tasty tasty beer.

Tap at cbc14. Pours yellow clear with a small White head. Aroma is really delicious unripe fruits, hops, brett. Taste is very sour. Lots of oak, lots of hops, fruity, grapes, unripe honey melon. Really delicate! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had this fresh week of release at brewery and didn’t care for it at all. What a difference a few months have made. Slightly cloudy yellow gold. Complex nose that changes as it goes along from massive tropical fruit, to strong grapefruit pith, then body odor, and now honey and light dustiness. Brett funk, lemon pith, bitter finish, but good carbonation and enough juicy hops and fruit to keep it in line. Tart but not overly sour. The hoppy beers from these guys are their best stuff, IMO.

Fruchtig säuerlicher Antrunk, dessen Aromen sich zum Mittelteil deutlich steigern. Vollmundig, die Säuerlichkeit ist stark aber angenehm. Zitrusnoten, zunehmend bitter. Kaum hopfig, gut. 11/12/11/11/11/11

Bottle at Mikkeller & Friends, july 26th 2014. Yellow orangetinted body with a tiny white head. Flowery aroma with brett, pepper, fruity hops. Taste starting with grapefruit and pepper, suddenly a brett explosion shows what this beer (or Crooked Stave?) is all about, with a massive tropical fruit and brett combination stealing the show. Crisp dry finish, leaving a refreshing sour fruit aftertaste, this is a very well crafted beer!

Bottle thanks to Rightcross55. Shared at Jeff’s. Cloudy light orange-yellow pour with a thin ring of head. Great aroma of fresh pineapple, flowers, spices, oranges, and light funk. Tastes like sweet tarts mixed with juicy pineapple and citrus. Light brett. Some flowers in the finish. Strong sourness but the juiciness helps to tame it. Loved this one.
