Fruchtig säuerlicher Antrunk, dessen Aromen sich zum Mittelteil deutlich steigern. Vollmundig, die Säuerlichkeit ist stark aber angenehm. Zitrusnoten, zunehmend bitter. Kaum hopfig, gut. 11/12/11/11/11/11

Bottle at Mikkeller & Friends, july 26th 2014. Yellow orangetinted body with a tiny white head. Flowery aroma with brett, pepper, fruity hops. Taste starting with grapefruit and pepper, suddenly a brett explosion shows what this beer (or Crooked Stave?) is all about, with a massive tropical fruit and brett combination stealing the show. Crisp dry finish, leaving a refreshing sour fruit aftertaste, this is a very well crafted beer!

Bottle thanks to Rightcross55. Shared at Jeff’s. Cloudy light orange-yellow pour with a thin ring of head. Great aroma of fresh pineapple, flowers, spices, oranges, and light funk. Tastes like sweet tarts mixed with juicy pineapple and citrus. Light brett. Some flowers in the finish. Strong sourness but the juiciness helps to tame it. Loved this one.

Bottle shared while waiting in line at New Glarus for the Sour Peach release. Hoppy and horsey nose. Lightly tart (somewhat acetic?) with a nice hoppy finish. Cloudy yellow pour with a white head. Very nice.

Pour is a hazed golden yellow with a small amount of tight white head and moderate lacing. Nose is very nice, faint leathery brett, a hint of grain, and huge tropical fruit notes. Mango, tangerine, and subtle peach. Taste follows suit, extremely juicy tropical fruits, very light leathery brett, mild acidity in the back. The mangos and tangerine are strong, a bit of bitterness is a very aggressively carbonated beer with a light body. Reminds me a little bit of HF Juicy.

Bottle: Thanks, Jason. Hazy, nearly opaque light & muddy yellow color with a soft, white film that fades to a measly collar quickly. Aroma is vibrantly hoppy & sour all at once. Floral notes, lemon, light lactic acid, some spicy wood, & nice, juicy citrus all around. Taste is pretty tart & sour; lemon, lacto, citrus, faint lime, & underripe stone fruit skins clash with a solid underbody of mildly floral & perfumy hop notes. Moderately acidic in the finish with a tingle as it heads towards my stomach. A touch of woodiness & a lingering lemon citric finish. I could drink this all day.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate dank hops, light grapefruit, lemon peel, brett, and oak. It pours a cloudy dull yellow with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin ring. The flavor starts with heavy sour lemon and light brett. The finish has grapefruit, light dank notes, and lemon peel. It’s light bodied with moderate carbonation.

Bottle. Poured a hazy golden color with a smaller sized head. Fruity, funky, citrus, and some grassiness. Nice tart and funk finish.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of brett, lemons, pepper, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons, brettanomyces, spices, and hay, leading to a tart finish.
