Bottled. Pours yellow with a small, lacing white head. Aroma of white wine, brett, barnyard notes, wood and fruity citrus notes. Sweet flavor that ends up dry acidic and slightly bitter. Light to medium bodied, watery texture and soft carbonation. A very nice Sour.

Waxed bottle shared with my wife. Slightly hazy golden pour with a tiny head. Tropical fruits on the nose, mangoes and passion fruit mainly. Taste is light acidic, some leather and tons of mangoes. Wonderful!

Pouring at EBF 2014. Pours a mostly clear gold with a thin white head. Big sweet funk, citrus and lemon on the nose. Sweet, tart and funky. Lemon and musk. Vibrant and lively, super bright and tart.

bottle shared by tom10101, thanks bro! pours almost clear bright gold with a small white cap showing minimal retention and lacing. honey bourbon, dill, celery, plain acidity - although there is an appreciable blend of lactic, citric, acetic; fragrant and tastefull sour candies (!), lightly honeyed pale maltiness. light carbonation, light body - oily; lightly bitter herbal and sharp citric finish. under CS’s standards - perhaps barrel-ageing has gone berserk or a deficient yeast taming.

Bottle 375ml. Pours golden with low white head. Minimal lacing. Aroma is of garbage juice, fruits, peaches, old oxydized rag. Taste is of garbage juice, acid, fruits, citrus. Palate: Light-medium body. Soft carbonation. Overall: Good, but a tad weird. Is that "wild" yeast off?

Bottle shared by tom10101, thanks a lot Tom! Pour is hazy golden with a small white rim that only leave light lacing. Nose is of rubber, herbs, eucalyptus, smoke and lime. Weird but not offputting. Taste is really sour and loaded with lemons and grass. There is a light vinegar component to it but it is mostly lactic I think. Dry as it can be. Body is light, carbonation moderate and acidity is refreshing to say the least. Overall an OK dryhopped sour, I’ve had better examples though.

Bottle (375 ml). Split with the Quebec crew. From Marcus, thanks!

Appearance: Clear golden with a small bubbly ring of white foam and little lacing.

Aroma: Quite lemony with eucalyptus (credit to mathieuc), oak, tropical fruits, leathery brettanomyces and a bit of rubber.

Taste: Even more lemony than the aroma with leathery brettanomyces, medium acidity, wood, vanilla notes, eucalyptus and hints of rubber (less than in the aroma).

Palate: Light to medium body. Moderate carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. Moderately dry and lemony finish.

Overall: Either this is subpar for Crooked Stave or we had a poor bottle, but there was definitely an "off" rubber presence. Not much complexity and moderate drinkability.

375ml bottle acquired from adnielsen. Thanks, bro. Pours a faintly hazed darker golden orange hue. A touch bubbly with nice darker oranging glow. Frothy whitish head stays as a nice firmer film, nice mellow spidery lacing. Aromas are big citrusy grapefruit, bitter rind, oils with firm hop content. Some lactic elements, mellow funk, touches of oak, mellow bread. A firmer funk and big citrus rind bitter tart feel. Initial is lighter in body with big citric juice bitter and tart feels. Some decent sour jabs, firm grapefruit, earth, citrus rind, and earthy hop bitterness. Middle is a bit tart, touches of rich citrus rind and juice. Huge grapefruit, mellow funk and cobwebs, touches of oak and gentle straw, spice and bitter/sour play. Backend is dry, bitter and big citrus with florals, some juiciness and mellow oak. Really tasty and crushable stuff. Juicy and bitter citrus, nice hop profile, oak and nice complimentary house brett and tartness. Tasty.

From my dear brother: Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is floral, earthy brett, sugar, flowers. Taste is way more sour than the aroma would let on. Hops are certainly there, but the sour flavors are there in good form. Nice yeasty aftertaste. Quite good. Yum.
