4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle big thanks to adnielsen!!! Pours a murky maroon brown color with a frothy pinkish brown foam that settles out fairly quickly. On the nose its deep tart complexity at its best; tangy raspberry, wet woody funk, earthy and a touch of vinegar. The palate is bright and full of jammy raspberry notes that keep it amazingly drinkable yet still funky and complex in the mid to late palate. Lots of earthy tang and a refreshing finish.

Batch 60. Bra tryck. Får initialt en saisonkänsla av doften. Lite fruktig. Sur och knäckebröd i eftersmaken. Tunn. Härlig syra och frisk. Kul med en 100% bretta. Ingen beska.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle shared by Aaron at RBWG 2014 grand tasting, thanks! Pours a deep cloudy amber with a tan head that dissipates completely. Aroma is full of blueberries and raspberries that are slightly tart with light funk and a bit of grain. Flavor has more sour berries that grow in acidicness with a nice backing funk and a bit of earthy grain.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
2010 bottle. Heavy funk on the nose, with barnyard, slight leather, musty oak, and dank raspberries. Pours a dark burgundy with a wispy head. Beautiful balanced taste of sour raspberries, SweeTarts, oak, lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, and a hint of vanilla and light cream. Medium body with a texture that starts out prickly then turns smooth. An incredible sour.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Sampled at rbwg. Opaque and kind of purple but dingy. Berries and funk in the aroma. Plus earth and wood. Such a complex flavor. Something lights up the top of my mouth. Never had that happen. Berries, funk. Bark, cherries. Each sip is new flavors. My taste buds are in over drive.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle: thanks, Ron! Dark, muddled copper color with slight ruby tints riding the edges; a dreary, off-white head forms & disappears into nothing rather quickly. Aroma has huge fruity notes of raspberries, along with reminders of cherries, grapes, & maybe even pears. Each sniff is more & more tart, slightly acidic on the nostrils... Sharp. Some wet oak in the background with a hint of some cotton blanket-y funk. Beautifully tart raspberry nose. The taste is incredibly sour.... Insanely sour. Raspberry Shock Tarts, underlying notes of cherry, apple vinegar, & acidic lemon flesh. Insane lacto sourness, puckering. The finish contains a very delicate sweetness once the tartness finally fades; hint of raspberry, oak, timid vanillin, & very faint touch of woody & corky Brett funk (but quite mild). I love this beer... Mouth ripping sourness. Probably one of the most sour things I’ve had, second only to some batches of Beatification.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
In short: A raspberry beer with its sweet nourishing character offsetting its funky tartness. Good beer.
How: Bottle shared at post HF FoFA 2013 party.
The look: Cloudy rust color body topped by a small beige head.
In long: Nose is raspberries upfront backed by others red fruits, oak and a sourness sensation. In mouth the beer has a heavy body (surprised to read here it was only a 6.2% beer) with good carbonation. Taste is thick raspberry jam, some vanilla, some wood, mild funk, a mild lactic sourness. The beer is a bit heavy and somewhat sweet which hides some of its tartness. This bottle had a bit of age but I thought the beer tasted bright and fresh. I liked it. On that week-end I drank beer non-stop for two days, so yes I was a vegetarian for a few days except I didn’t feel the need to mention it to everybody.

Great sour, up there with Cantillon’s raspberry. Pure and unadulterated raspberry. Spicy. Lace sheets on reddish head. Big yet drinkable sourness. Thanks Jason B.
