Nice red and slightly cloudy in appearance, tasted as though there was going to be a big sour taste, but it dropped off at the end, in a good way. I’m pretty happy I have a few bottles of this, and hopefully CS continue making great beers like this!

Bottle shared in the GTMW ticket line - Pours hazy purple/pink amber with a thin white head. Nose is pungent, with a bit of blue cheese funk, lots of blackberry. A bit of cheesecake. Taste is the same, real soft and fruity, lots of yeast, with a blackberry and apricot finish. Fluffy and soft in the mouth. Man, this was some great stuff.

Bottle @ a recent tasting... Poured deep, ruby read with an off-white head. Lots of blackberry notes with some acid and yeast bugs along with woody oak and dense malt. Some citrus in there brightened it up with some sourness in the finish. This tasted awesome.

Bottle shared at Great Taste ticket line (Madison, WI). Pours a rich berry copper hued pour, well hazed body, berry glow with some glowing amber edges. A frothy offwhite head atop dies to a film, laces ok. Aromas are blackberry fruit, skin is a bit tannic, lemon and lactic elements. Blackberry seedy pulp, some bready malt, mellow funk and some vomit element comes into the fold, cheesy funk, but more firm sourness hits the nose. Blackberry, raspberry, lemonade and lactic firm sour nose. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, a nice berry and blackberry pulp. A bit thin, a touch harsjh and a bit acedic. Some vomit, more berry, almost a touch artificial. Some firm funk, bready malt and odd artificial berry sweet and pulpy elements. A little harsh and acedic going down the esophagus, backend is not really for me. Artificial grape candy, acid, and a bit more harshness. The nose started out with promise, but gets a bit vomit-y. The flavors are off for me into the middle and especially backend where I get artificial grape candy. Finish is a touch acidic, blackberry skin is a bit tannic, funky. An odd one, much preferred the regular Petite.

Bottle shared in the GTMW ticket line, pours a purple/red with an off white head, the aroma has a good amount of sour mixed in with some funk and fruit, the flavor was quite sour on the front end with the blackberries in the finish, kind of some dirty old cheese notes coming through, someone commented it tasted a tad bit like vomit, not quite like vomit, but different for sure.

[ Bottle # 95/857 ]. Clear medium to dark red colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is tart, berry, blackberry, vomit. Flavour is moderate sweet and acidic with a long duration, dry, blackberry, sweet sugary berries, tart berries. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121109]

Sample from a bottle, bottled 3/2012. Bottle 354 / 857. Darker red brown hazier aroma. No visible lace or head. Good oaky tart nose. Some cherry, and other berry fruits. Medium body, dry texture. Very interesting blackberry sour

Pours slightly hazy amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of cherries, blackberry, tart and hint of vinegar. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium to heavy sour with a very dry, sour and fruity finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.
