3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. The pour was a hazy medium honey orange with a large (2-3 finger) white rocky head that diminished slightly, but lasted throughout and had some really good sticky lacing.
The aroma was a bit funky with floral and grassy hops, a grain malt and a sweaty yeast with notes of citrus, apricot, pineapple, a bit of banana and a mild sourness.
The taste was malty sweet and fruity with hints of apricot and banana at first and mildly hoppy with a slight funk and sourness towards the finish with some nice citrus notes at the end. The flavor lingered for a nice long while after the swallow allowing for the fruity hoppy flavor to take hold.
Mouthfeel was light to medium in body and a little dry in texture with a somewhat medium carbonation.
Overall a uniquely flavorful brew that had fruit, hops and a sour funk taste all blending together, creating a wonderful drinking experience.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle purchased at Joy in Denver, Colorado. Batch 1-11/11. Bottle #465/838. The pour is a very cloudy yellow golden, with a two inch white head that is foamy, and falls slow with larger bubbles. The aroma is leathery dry, citrus hops, and sweet grain malt. The taste is pear fruit, an interesting honey melon sweetness, dry Brett, and a light spiciness from the yeast in the finish. The palate is medium bodied, light prickly carbonation, and a dry finish. I liked this quite a bit.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle thanks to Dallas. Pours a murky golden color with a large white head. The aroma is fruity hops, some biscuit and funk. A rich fresh and flavorful Belgian Ale with huge Pale Ale intent: sweet citrus, big hops throughout, low bitterness, yeast, banana. Good. Very clean and smooth.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
The pour is a hazy golden color with a tall white head. The nose on this beer is phenomenal. Earthy tones, bready malt, biscuit, and intense pineapple aroma. A touch of citrus and straw, but just so much pineapple. The flavor has a nice crisp malt profile, minimal bitterness, citrus peel, and an overwhelming pineapple flavor that is just amazing. A touch of yeast, maybe some earth on the palate as well, but just overall a solid beer.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle 62/838 Batch 1-11/11 Opened the bottle and there was an enormous amount of carbonation once poured in a beer clean glass. Bottle was overflowing, but that’s the case with some wild yeast occasionally. Once settled, the aroma was killer. Huge citrus and floral hops with the spiciness of the yeast. Wonderful American/Belgian Golden Ale aroma. Flavor was spot on, no infection...generously hopped, spices running throughout with notes of clove and citrus hops. Some light pine as well. Great brew...only thing I would have changed was the initial carbonation level....but shit happens with small batches.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to drabmuh for sharing this bottle. Served in a SAVOR wine glass.
Pours a clear, sparkling yellow color with a very large, creamy white head that lasts around for quite some time before eventually falling to a cap, leaving a sheet of lacing on the glass.
The nose carries some mild funk and pineapple character. Light lemon and citrus in the background. Good Brett throughout. Flavor has a light funk and bitterness.
Body is light with moderately-high carbonation and a very dry finish. Nice and funky. Really great finish.
Another solid hit from Crooked Stave. Would love to try this one again.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour out of 750 mL bottle is hazy golden with big, big fluffy white head, hard to pour, aroma has notes of spicy yeast, nice biscuity bread, hints of lemon, fruity esters, slight grassy notes, but mainly a nice spicy belgian ale. Taste is some biscuity bread, hints of fruity esters, touch of funky dusty notes as well. Seems a bit old, probably should have had it earlier, but still fairly tasty.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 723/838 from batch 1 11/11 thanks to Ratman! Pours with a massive (glass filling) white head with thick bubbles. Retentive and leaves great lace. Hazed golden hue (deep gold) body underneath. Aromas are very flora, citrusy, lightly herbaceous hops, medium funk, lots of esters. Nearly a Brett C tropical/pineapple character. Mild earthy and peppery phenolics. Mildly bready and biscuity malt rounds it out. A touch grassy. Very nice. Flavors are a bit more malt forward at first. Bready, biscuity, soft. Mild grassy and hoppy character. Herbal as well with subdued funky phenolics. Medium esters of belgian yeast and fruit character I normally associate with Brett A or C. Some stone fruit. A touch more rustic, earthy, straw qualities as it warms. Very lively carbonation. Dry, soft (very soft overall character), and mild bitterness. Good, tasty, solid!
