Tap at the barrel cellar - originally entered an update to my rating of the first batch, but as this does not appear to be aliased, I will now enter here - has all the lovely, musky and tropical Brett character of the original, but much spicier, snappier, and quite a bit drier, which is kind of what I was hoping from the original in the first place - crisp, with potent but manageable bitterness complimented well by a dry malt base and a tropical brett punch - super tasty
Earlier Rating: 5/15/2013 Total Score: 3.9
Bottle - hazy gold pour - soapy, sticky lace - the vibrant citric and tropical character of the Citra and Mosaic hops combines with the pineapple and musky character of the brett to create quite a lovely aroma - soft carbonation and mouthfeel - flavor is tart and moderately acidic up front - a bit juicy, with some light citrus sweetness through the middle - moderately musky, some pineapple brett - strong mango and citrus from the hops - I would like it to be a bit more crisp and dry (perhaps with more time in the bottle, it will be), but this is one of the better beers Iíve had from this brewer.

Bottle at home. Pour is slightly hazy golden orange with a big bright white head and great lacing. Huge bretty, medicinal, band-aid, pineapple, orange peel, mango, slightly grassy, and funky aroma. Taste is band-aid, herbal, papaya, slightly weedy, mute brett, grassy, tropical fruity, and biscuity with a light bitter finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Super well-balanced and the brett and hops are melded beautifully together - super juicy. Even better than the original.

On tap @ Crooked Stave ROY-G-BIV Day. Hazy orange in appearance with a huge white head. Super bretty, pineapple, fresh tropical fruity aroma - mango, band-aid, light weed, medicinal, and citrusy. Taste is pineapples, herbal, tropical fruits, oranges, somewhat grapefruity, papaya, doughy, light straw, beautiful brett and grass. Medium body with medium-to-soft carbonation. Seriously tasty stuff and I canít wait to open one of these up in 6-12 months, as I tend to enjoy Chadís beers better out of the bottle, anyhow.

Bottle young. Pours a brilliant gold with big off white head and good lace. Aroma is very funky, tart citrus, Brett, fresh pears. Flavor is biscuit sweet with lots of bitter yeast funk and wood. Feel is lively, tickling, woody, and cooling. Great Brett bear.

375 shared by Nick... Thanks! Pours a light golden yellow with a decent whit head that fades quickly. Smell is definitely overpowered by the brett, but there is a bit of pineapple and pine from the galaxy. Slight funk from the Brett. Taste is awesome, just enough funk and slight tart accompanied by the pineapple of the galaxy. Just a hint of oak. Dry finish.

On tap @ Beachwood BBQ. Hazy light orange pour with a white head. Really nice nose on this. Big time grapefruit/citrus, pineapple, and funk. Oak, grass, and straw. The flavor has really nice fruit character, but is also kind of bitter. Too much so. Light musty funk, oak, grapefruit, pineapple, and some plastic on the finish.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2014 P: Golden orange color with a light haze, almost no head but leaves a small amount of lace. S: Pineapple and mango, oak and just a hint of brett. T: Mango right upfront, followed by a ton of oak and earthy musk. M: Thin with medium carbonation and a hint of tartness. O: I thought this was awsome. Note: This rating is only for the one brewed and dry hopped with galaxy hops.

Bottle. Pours a very hazy copper with puffy, cloudy off-white head. Aroma is resinous, piney hops, mild lactic, sour, tart. Flavor is similarly balanced, nice hoppiness, resinous, citrus, oily, with pleasant sour, lactic, oaky finish. A more resinous version of the original brew. Quite good, balanced, enjoyable. A nice bretty pale ale.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with white head. Aroma is hoppy, funky, and oak. Flavor is citrus up front, fading into pleasant hoppy, tart finish. Well balanced and very enjoyable. Soft carbonation, light body, crisp texture, and mildly dry finish. A great brett pale ale.
Earlier Rating: 5/15/2013 Total Score: 4
Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a half finger of quickly settling white head, minimal/no lacing. Aroma is funky, lactic, skunky, barnyard, smells promising. Flavor is citrus, lactic, pineapple, mildly tart, with a mild hop finish, herbal hints. Well balanced and a little bit juicy in a good way. Moderate carbonation, medium body and a moderately dry finish. A very pleasant brett pale ale.

Wow is this one complex. The brett adds some awesome tart character, but immediately balanced with juicy citrus from the hops. Some pear and banana on the palate. The oak is around to balance things out even more - and that it does.
