4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
The Sampler, Brooklyn 375ml ($9): Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is flowers, perfume, brett, lemon, other citrus, yeah a bunch of stuff. Taste is bitter, slightly sour, then just a wee bit sweet. Mouth feel is perfect and the carbonation makes your mouth tingle and lets the aftertaste linger with a gentle astringency. This is an excellent beer to sip, but similarly an excellent beer to drink many of in large quantities. Too bad it is so fucking expensive. At least it was superb.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From bottle @ The Festival (Portland). Hazy yellow with a small persistent white head and little lacing. Aroma is really enticing with brettanomyces, perfume hops, citrus/tropical fruits, light tartness and subtle earthy notes. Taste is slightly to moderately sweet with brettanomyces, citrus/tropical fruits, caramel, herbs and light acidic presence. Medium body. Slightly dry. Moderate carbonation. Great balance between hops and brettanomyces that result in a refreshing American Wild Pale Ale.

Bottle from arminjewell. Pours hazy gold with white head. Nice funk is the highlight of the aroma, really a cool beer. The brett and hops work well together, good work guys.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The tartness is the best part. Nice carbonation with the tropical tartness, earth esters, paired with some subtle hop notes. Seems to be more along the lines of a wild ale. Itís a little pricey, but worth a taste...itís always good to have just the right amount of: donít give a...

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, thanks adam! Pours cloudy light amber with a small white head that dissipates quickly leaving some lacing. Aroma is very bretty, with some lemon and citrus fruitiness poking thru. Flavor is the same, brett, fruity, dry with light bitterness and a touch of tart. Medium body, oily mouth feel. Nice beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Wasnít overly impressed by this beer, quite frankly. The hops had a really nice fruitiiness that started to show through, but the legs were cut out by the brett tartness. The brett was delicious!... but I wanted something more than "just brett".

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
375 ml bottle courtesy of adnielsen. Thanks, dude! pours a richer deep orange golden hue, firm haziness with a deep pretty glow, firm carbonation. A cakey offwhite head stays as a firm layer, laces ok and sticks around as a decent layer. Aromas offer some really nice life, pineapple and citrus, gentle lemon and grapefruit. Touches of fruit, bread, and firm florals, earthy dry hopping. Touches of oak are a bit woody, mellow vanillin. Fruity, a bit hoppy, dry and funky. Really nice complexity here. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, a bit tart off the bat, firm pineapple. Some grapefruit, lemon, a bit of tart apple and pear. Firm brett, a touch prickly and bready. Some oak, with more dryness, funk as we round the corner into the middle. Dry, funky and dusty. The hop profile gets a bit more bitter as we round the corner, touches of oak, fruity tropical elements, pineapple, and grapefruit from the hops, bretty melange. A bit of spiciness, brett, and gentle sweetness. Finish is dry, but not overly so. Fairly complex experience, the brett offers some nice flavors, dust, and funk. The overall experience here is lovely, but I think some synergy from the high end complex hop choices certainly help, giving a good tropical nose with that firm brett presence and some really nice fruit elements in the middle. Tasty beer here.
