Bottle courtesy of a trade with robloc303 - marked 344. Pours a cloudy straw color with medium head and nice lace. Nose of grapefruit, lemon, tangerine, tropical fruit, horse blanket. Tons of grapefruit flavor, lightly tart, some oak. Really good brett fermented pale ale.

Cloudy yellow, thin white head. Nose is lemony sweat, unripe berry, cat litter. Flavor is lemony, berry, sweaty funk, over ripe tropical fruit.

Bottle. Only got a few ounces in a share so I may re-rate this after I crack open my own bottle, but it was still a damn good balance of funk and hops.

On tap at Falling Rock. Old fashion saison, slightly sour with hints of citrus and grapefruit. There is a little bitterness but I absolutely love it. Great beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Batch#2 @6.2% ABV- The Centennial and simcoe hop mix really bring out a nice earthy, pine hop flavor with some nice brett, and more bitterness

UPDATED: MAY 17, 2015 EDIT: great citrus hop aroma with a tart finish. Taste is not nearly as good as the aroma but ok. More wild and funky with a bitterness from the hops in the finish. Has a slight weirdness to it. But much better than i originally rated it. ORIGINAL: Floral hop aroma, slight Brett. Funk flavor comes through a bit but not much, hops dominate the funk. Not overly impressed with this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle crushed with TheRon. Pours a hazy golden with a white head that laces the glass. A lot going on in this one. Aroma of butter, cheese, sweat, some nail polish, Brett funk, but mostly dominated by cat piss. Flavor yields similar results with a bit of mustiness and bandaid thrown in, with a subtle sourness and a light, grassy finish. A complex beer indeed.

pour @ the festival, portland. two pours for me, that is. unclear pale golden with a nice white head, good retention and lacing. moderate bretts, tropical, citrus, light sulfur and green notes, underlying woodsy notes, bit of lactic - light acidity. moderate carbonation, light body - never watery, short but assertive citrusy and dry finish. excellent! other than 3F 50th anniv. 1998, this was my highlight.

Bottle via some Cates @ DSM LOL 1st edition 06/13/13
For those of you keeping score, this is the second Crooked Stave bottle offered by Aaron, so 2 bottles offered, 2 shared and consumed, all bottles offered were consumed. I bought none of the bottles offered, Aaron bought both during the period of time when he was buying all bottles offered.

Pours a hazy blonde with a small head and nice lacing on the glass.

The arom ais lots and lots of juicy hops with some light banana, some citrus, and some nice dusty attic and funky basement aromas. Kind of weird how the pungent fruit forward hops work so well with the funkier aromas here.

The flavor is dry, lightly oaky, and packed with fruit forward hoppiness, citrusy, lightly floral, some tropical fruit. Nicely controlled bitternes shown with much care to keep all elements in balance.

Draft at Fallig Rock. Golden straw color with a nice fluffy white head. Good lace. Funky notes in the nose; green apple with a Brett funkiness. Medium/light mouthfeel. Very tasty; orange and green apple with the Brett funkiness. Some hop bitterness but not too bad. Great beer.
