Thanks Dakine! Red/purple pour with a thin white head. Aroma is sourness and oak. Taste is sour, oak/dryness. It has a refreshing and cleansing mouth feel. Little sweetness from the blackberries in the background. Layered, complex and tasty. Yum!

Bottle from a friend.
Appearance: Hazy raspberry colored body with a short and light pink head.
Aroma: Sort of sulfury with a mild sour blackberry presence.
Taste: Mildly sour, reminds me of an Atomic Warhead, but no substance beneath. The base is watery and the sourness doesn稚 do much to add to flavor, it痴 just sour to be sour.
Palate: Sort of flat.
Overall: I致e had three Crooked Stave beers, the other two were excellent. I知 not sure where this went wrong but this was very boring and the people I drank it with agreed. It tasted watery and generically sour. What a shame.

Had at a share: pours a raspberry like red with pink head. Raspberry, tartness, blackberry, and oak on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes tart and dry.

Pour is dark pink with a bit of a haze to it and a light pink head. Nose has a lambic note to it, a bit of barnyard funk, slight metallic twang, strong raspberry fruit behind. Taste isn稚 quite as barnyard or as bright. Strong brett presence that gets a little muddled and brett is strong. Still a hint of barnyard, some dusty brett with a moderate amount of blackberry. Lighter body, fairly sour with a slightly puckering finish.

Bottle shared by Tommy, thanks! Pours a nice cherry red with a small white head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is of cherries and just really fruity. Taste is fruity, acidity level pretty good (not abrasive/harsh). Cherries again but they might have been blackberries too. Body was light, carbonation medium and mouthfeel juicy. Nice one!

Pours a purple color with almost no head. Aromas of oaked funk, sour berries. Taste is dry and sour. Not bracingly bitter, but it has a nice little bite. Flavors of unripened blackberries, oak and moss. Decent carbonation leaves a slight prickle on the tongue. Finishes sweaty and dry. Did this side by side with Almanac Farmer痴 Reserve Pluot and this beer lost hands down.

Deep purple-maroon hue body; splotches of white foam scatter on the surface and attach themselves to my glass.

Funky, fruity aroma surprised me with its bold yeast presence. Dry, blankety, plenty of Brett, crushed blackberry essence. Smooth carb on the palate, juicy fruit, sourness is perfectly balanced. Excellent.

Finally! I'm am so psyched to try a stave of quality that once was. No diacetyl. And so good. A - pours a beautiful blackberry juice purple blue with very little head. S - such a nice nose. Funky fruity sweet berries and bell pepper. Much like a de garde. Cheese, yogurt, nice yeast, Brett's. Rose petals and bell pepper. The nose may be the best from stave yet. M - tart and sweet. Watery mf, no carb and a limp body. T - the taste is so subtle and delicate, follow the nose but adds. nice funky cheesy fruity goodness. Bell pepper and blackberry jam lead the nose. Notes of lemon juice, powdered sugar, rose petals, dusty Brett's, and a note of prickly pear tuna and dragon fruit. O - maybe the second best stave our there (after persica b1) truly. The the lack of carb does take away a little, from an otherwise fantastic beer.

375ml bottle, thanks Aaron! Pours a purplish brown color with a white head that fades to bubbles around the edge. Aroma is oaky, citrus fruit, lemon. Medium on the palate with lively carbonation. Flavor is sour, oak, some light berry fruit, blackberry, hay, with a light sour finish. The blackberry is a bit lost, but otherwise a very nice sour ale.

Bottle, 11/3/2013. Pours purplish red, opaque, subtle pinkish white head fades to fizzy bubbles on the surface, thin ring of lacing around the glass. Aroma is blackberry, grape, lightly jammy, light tartness with baryard notes, touch of brett with wood. Taste is moderately fruity dark berries, mild tartness with earthy oak, funk, long fruity aftertaste. Medium body, coats the tongue. Pretty nice.
