Pours hazy golden with a thin white head. Smells of vanilla, citrus, and biscuit. Drinks smoothly with a dry citrus finish. Slight lingering hop bitterness. Tastes of grapefruit and vanilla. Light bodied. Love the dry finish on this beer.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
From the 2012 Cellar Reserve
Tasted on 1/3/14 from a waxed and capped 375mL bottle, big thanks to adnielsen for being a great trustee. Pours hazy orange/golden with a thick white head that slowly recedes to average, sticky lace. The nose is super sour and funky/earthy with a bunch of citrus and white wine vinegar, and a very unique tropical and citrus hops aroma. The flavor is almost exactly as the nose would have suggested, with a bit more caramel malt and vanilla barrel character, but the same sour citrus, white wine vinegar, and tropical fruit hops. The body is medium with some nice barrel tannin, lively, nearly sparkling, carbonation, and a long sour citrus and tropical hops finish. This beer is really great, the only beers close I’ve ever had were Cuvee des Champions and Le Terroir, but I find this to be a bit more balanced than both.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to adnielsen ! Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a finger of
fizzy white foam. The nose is round oak with bright lemon and lime some toasted chardonnay fruit and vanilla. The palate follows with lots of sprite soda, vinous chardonnay a hint of horse blanket funk and a pretty dry finish. Wish there was a touch more carbonation to fizz up the glass but a solid chugger.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
hazy lemon, large bubbled white ring. Punchy lemon nose, citric with yogurt hints. Incredibly soft, lactic flavor, light sourness but way less than beatification next to it, controlled and more palatable, carbonation zippy without overpowering. Faintest sulfur but only complaint, sessionable lactic sour, beautiful stuff.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Grey/silver wax. Pours a ever so slightly hazed light copper color with a lively white head. Very nice aroma; sour notes of lemon and lime, earthy, and a light fruit note. Medium mouthfeel. Sweet start with sour and tart notes. Ending is a little flat for me. Funky finish. The nose I really love but the taste is just decent.

Bottle pour. Crooked Stave La’ Brett D’Or. A wild tasting sour ale brew with an oak twinge. A well-crafted sour from a great brewery! Cheers!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared at Dave’s tasting. Pours a mostly clear gold with a thin white head. Mild aroma of brett funk with notes of lemon and hay. The flavor is tart lemon with a bit of brett funkiness and some mild hay. I thought the brett was very restrained and not fully developed in this beer. I was looking for a little more funk in this one.
