375mL thanks to unclerudy. Clear deep brown red with coffee, weak foam with spotty lace. Subtle hazelnut chocolate cake nose, not much impending acid is nice. Small hints of brandy but barely. Sharp cranberry and flashes of balsamic. Taste is lactic, tangy, lots of lime and salt. Bright and quenching. Doesn’t really matter what barrel, this base sour brown is fantastic.

Mucho thanks to Bill! It pours darkest brown with a small light tan head. The nose is earth, toast, Granny Smith apple, lemon, sour apricot and cocoa. The taste is big initial tartness, lemon, sour green apple, earth, faint roast, dry, tart cherry, vinous notes and wood. Medium body and fine carbonation. Interesting, good depth of flavour and rather tasty.

Fair but my least favorite by crooked stave yet. Matches, wet wood, courants, and lemon. Tasty is malty and tart wet oak and silver. Its odd and decent.
