Tap at the barrel cellar - this should probably be marked as bourbon barrel aged, as I believe there will be several barrel iterations of this -billed as a 100%brett baltic porter aged in bourbon barrels -dark brown pour -rather still- nose is tart, oaky, actually quite wine-like - some sweet vanilla reminds you it is.bourbon barrels and not wine barrels -low carbonation, slick mouthfeel - very tart and tannic up front -sweetness through the middle, along with some heat and spiciness from the bourbon -sweetness is cut by a moderate acidity on the tail end -some coconut and red wine in the finish, which is medium dry - this is very good.

Thanks again, Aaron. Almost black in color with a khaki head. Big vinegar and dark fruit. Quite sour. Lemon, bourbon, roasted malt, citric acidity, raisin, and cherry. There’s a very strong vinegar flavor to this. Lots of balsamic notes, some cherry, raisin, and plum. Roasted malt, bourbon, lemon, and some oak. Quite dry and puckering.

375 ml. Corked and caged bottle. Pours a thick, well retained, light beige head, with extensive lacing, over a brownish black (SRM 35) body....nose is light bourbon, chocolate, barnyard funk.....taste is hints of sweet, cocoa, barnyard funk, light balsamic, finishing with a lingering mildly acid bitterness.....mouth feel light of medium, sticky, alcohol warmth present, carbonation adds a light acid tingle. This is a lovely experiment. The Baltic Porter malt backbone, combined with the Brett create an almost Flanders Brown in both aroma and flavors. The bourbon, balsamic, barnyard funk and light cocoa work remarkably well. BJCP 8/3/15/4/7

Had on draft at the Alaskan Barleywine festival. Note of chocolate, mint, slight tartness, some lactic aroma. I found this to fairly enjoyable.

Svart i färgen, ljusbrunt vitt skum. Doftar örter med peppar, rostad malt, kallt kaffe, bark-fat. Smakar fruktigt, rostad malt, kallt kaffe, syrlig känsla, bourbon, bitter alkoholig avlutning.

Bottle, 02/20/2013. Pours nearly black, creamy tan head with great retention and lacing for the style, sticking around for over several minutes. Aroma of chocolate raisin cookie, caramel, tart dark fruitiness with roast porter notes, bourbon. Taste is light chocolate malts, tart cherries and roast character, lactic and bitter in the finish, bourbon in the aftertaste. Medium body, smooth. My favorite of the series.

375ml bottle thanks to Aaron. Pours a deep dark brown with a thin tan head and some lacing. Aroma is funky, Brett, sour cherry. Medium on the palate with light, soft carbonation. Flavor is sour, cherry, light bourbon, vanilla, more Brett, with a light sour bourbon finish that lingers for a while. Interesting.

375ml bottle. Fairly thin black pour with decent head that is gone in 30 seconds. Nose of roast, brett, and some booze with oak. Taste is quite nice with some nice roasty tartness with a subdued barrel presence. Has some vinous qualities to it as well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle thanks to Perrin515. Pours black with tan head. Nose and taste of roast chocolate malt, soured dark fruit, wild yeast, oak and light bourbon. Medium body. Mild to moderate acidity. Good balance between roast and sourness.
