4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A tasty brew. Smells mostly of oak and some funk. A really nice fruity sour front, cherries or raspberries with a nice sweet smooth finish almost like a soft chocolate stout. Real good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap @ Crooked Stave. Per the new guy at the tap room, this is the same as Origins and should be aliased. Pours a clear brown appearance with a small disappearing tan head. Raspberry, vinegar, oaky, a bit funky, grape aroma. Nice mouth feel. Tart but not overbearing. Black cherry, dark grape, somewhat vinous, fairly tart flavor. Nice stuff!

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Crooked Stave. Poured a beautiful ruby color with small white head in to a CS snifter.
Nose is light with dark fruit notes and vinous aromas as it warms. It has light fruited flavors of strawberry, cherry and zin fruit grapes, along with some oakiness on the finish. Mouthfeel is soft and sessionable. for a wild ale / sour...
This was very balanced and light on the sour characteristic I expected would grab me. Could drink dangerous amounts of this. =)
The CS gang told me it was aged for 12 to 18 months on wood and made from a blend of batches Chad had been saving for this project.
Also told it will likely be bottled - so get some. Good stuff.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at the barrel cellar - hazy dark red - almost completely still - nose is lightly acidic, with sweeter notes of peach, pear, apricot - slick mouthfeel - low carbonation - moderate acidity, with sweet peach and apricot underneath - lightly funky fruit skins and bitter pits late - subtle but complex - aside from the almost non-existant carbonation, this is a winner.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the Barrel Cellar. Pour is deep hazy brown with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Funk, vinegar, raspberries, lacto, spice, peach, oak, and tart fruits in the aroma. Taste is raspberries, blackberries, wood, white wine, green apples, brett, light caramel, and a touch of roast on the backend and a medium sour finish. Light body with medium carbonation. Well balanced but pretty damn sour. Nice!
