Vieille meaning “Old” is our artisinal barrel-aged Saison, lightly dry hopped. Each batch release is a diverse blend of Vieille casks that have taken on a soft Brettanomyces character before being lightly dry hopped. Dominated by a floral, citrusy hop character, a subtle herbal note and a tart finish, Vieille’s character exemplifies artisan Saisons.

bittle, from Bottle Revolution RDU, I think, maybe Triangle Wine Morrisville. good aroma, sweet, fruity funky. citrus, lemon mainly, little salt, mild funk. clean orangy gold color, small head that faded quickly to a minor ring, no lace. sour and sweet flavor. Medium body, thin creeamy mouthfeel, tart dry finish, it’s nice. doesn’t overwhelm me, kind of dulls on the finish. aroma best part IMO, nice lemon brett combo.

On draft at Crooked Stave. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a white head. Sour, lemony, Brett, hay, dry finish. Seems like more of a sour than a saison but I loved it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Golden with a thin/medium, quickly dissipating, white head. Aroma of hops, spices, fruit, herbs. Sweet with a bitter and very tart finish, a lot going on on the tongue! Oily texture, low/med carbonation. Good beer.

This beer smells like a sour beer - lots of lemon and yeast. For a saison it has a lot going on. Slight head and a hazy golden yellow color. A hint of hop gives way to a blast of lemon. The finish is light, watery and mildly yeasty.

Shared bottle. Very nice saison. My only criticism is the lemon needs to be toned down slightly. Otherwise a very drinkable session beer.

Backlog rating. 12oz bottle from beermerchants. It pours a hazy straw color with a medium white head. Aroma is barnyard, sour and oak. Taste is acidic, vinegarish, lightly bitter and hoopy with notes of barn yard, hay and citrus. Dryness from the oak, light lemon, gentle sour. Medium mouthfeel with lively carbonation. overall, delicious

Bottle from Luksus, Tørst Brooklyn. Pours a straw yellow. Fucking amazing Saison full of Brett and grassy tones. Cloves, spices, yeast and Brett dominate the taste. Anything with Brett is a fucking winner for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
