Vieille meaning “Old” is our artisinal barrel-aged Saison, lightly dry hopped. Each batch release is a diverse blend of Vieille casks that have taken on a soft Brettanomyces character before being lightly dry hopped. Dominated by a floral, citrusy hop character, a subtle herbal note and a tart finish, Vieille’s character exemplifies artisan Saisons.

Tasting at Bruce’s Pad. Cheers to Leighton for this one. Lightly hazy gold beer with a little white head. Palate is light and airy with a mild minerally crispness. Nice lemon sherbet here! Touch of floral character. A little dry seltzer before the semi dry finish. Good stuff.

Bottle, at Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens. A hazy, orange to golden colored beer with a white head. The aroma is quite lemony and lightly Brett-ish. Some vinous notes. A touch of pale malts. Dry, almost tart on the palate, nicely carbonated. Lemony, orangey flavor with a faint touch of pale malts of spiciness. Sure not bad at all. 130817
