375ml Bottle. The pour was a murky golden orange with a small (less than 1 finger) white creamy head that diminished quickly, down to a scattered film and medium collar with excellent streaky lacing. The aroma was of a funky Belgian yeast and a light grain malt with notes of citrus (lemon), a fruity ester (peaches and pairs), lemon grass, cheese and dust. The taste was very yeasty with a strong citrus backbone and had a mild grassy feel along with a hint of lemon early on, and then become very lightly bitter with a mildly sour ending. The flavor only lasted a short time after the swallow, with a light sour bitter taste fading slowly off the taste buds into the background. Mouthfeel was a bit above light in body and rather dry in texture with a medium carbonation. Overall this was an extremely tasty Saison, which I also found to be very refreshing and easy to drink. I think I may just have found my new session brew...

375 ml bottle. Served in a Prairie Teku glass, the beer pours a hazy gold color with about an inch white head. Both the head retention and lacing are good. The brew smells like lemon peel, earthiness, hay, limes, and oak. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there’s the addition of some tropical fruit, peppery spice, grainy/bready malt and green apple. The tartness comes out more as the brew warms. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s refreshing and has a good amount of soft carbonation which helps make it smooth and easy to drink. I liked this a lot, overall I thought it was good. This was the first Crooked Stave beer I’ve tried, and hopefully I’ll try more soon! $8.99 a bottle.

Bottle... Pours hazy and yellow with a small, fleeting, white head. The bouquet is citrusy and bright with a gentle component of woody funk. Medium-bodied with lazy carbonation. The flavor offers delicate acidity, mild grains and phenolic spiciness. Tangy finish. Bottle courtesy of growler!

Appearance was cloudy light gold with diminishing creamy white tiny head, no lacing. Aromas are citrus fruits, cherry, slight barnyard, hay and cracker, pils malts. Taste are lemon zest, grapefruit, cherry, acidic Brett with soft funk bite. Palate was crisp soft CO2 with light body, then lasting slightly dry fruity Brett finish. A wonderful Brett beer, try it.

Review nr 3000. Bottle from Khioskh in Copenhagen. Sour smell with a funky aroma that reminds me of barnyard. I also get some citrus and grapefruit. Tart taste with grapefruit, barnyard and some citrus in the finish. Allot of flavour considering it is only 4,2 and I love the funk.

Bottle. Pours light yellow with thick white head. Aroma is very citrusy, strong lemon, bread, elastic, earthy, cloves. Taste is very citrusy upfront, a definte brett flavor, tart with really tropical fruit on the finish. Really interesting but very good!

Bottle from a trade a while back. Pours a light yellow color with big white head. Little bit nod a funky aroma cheese. Crisp clean flavor. Finish is a little earthy and dirty. Hay and grass flavors. Subtle light and smooth. Really good saison with all the hop and spice aspects but adding a little more entertaining notes with the the yeast and funkiness.
