375mL thanks to dfrom. Pours flat, clear sepia/red. Nose is quite impressive. Rich red wine barrel, rendered rib eye fat, spot on Flemish red. Taste is heavy citric acid, little to no acetic, quenching, lactic lemon juice, small cocoa. Palate is light, lactic, sharp lemon and pomegranate. Nose offers some rich bourbon barrel coconut and butter underneath spicy sour character. Really nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

37.5cl bottle courtesy of and split with Ibrew2or3, thanks Dave.

Bottle with Alan, Joe, and Wick shared by Jean. Notes of then oak and cherrries, wood, barn, peanuts, light chocolate, bourbon, earthy barrel, super creamy and tart funk. Cuvee de Tomme like. Barely any of the 11.5 is present....crazy smooth. Retarded sour quad from Crooked Stave.

UPDATED: NOV 23, 2012 Tap @ Crooked Stave. Pours a murky brown appearance with not much head. Aromas of chocolate, caramel, tart dark fruit, plum, dark grape, light bourbon aroma. Really cool, tart dark berry, plum, chocolate, light toffee, tangy fruity flavor. Wow, I really enjoyed this, but granted, I only tasted about four ounces since I had to drive. Looking forward to trying the Cognac (and this one again). Update: bottle split with my brother at Exira Beer Summit III and it was every bit as good as I remember.

375ml bottle shared by Brad. Pretty awesome beer. Soured, intense, more so than the bourbon, but still captures some of that as well. Biting sharp sourness. The bourbon barrel and deep malt flavors are sort of there, but sort of eaten away too. Really cool beer.

On tap at the barrel cellar. Pour is murky brown with a small off-white head that quickly dissipated. Caramel, toffee, nutty, bourbon, light citrus, raisins, and woody aroma. Taste is chocolatey, caramelly, light lemon, citrus, plums, and toffee with a medium sour finish. Super smooth and easy-to-drink, hard to believe it is 11.5%. Light body with soft carbonation. Really nice and quite a surprise.

Bottle. Aroma is sour fruit. Maybe some bourbon, but more caramel. The appearance is brown with little carbonation. The taste starts sour then gets a little sweeter, then finishes on a sour note. Very nice. The palate is tart. Overall, a great beer. Would buy any chance I got. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared with sebletitje and Tilquin’s Peirre, cheers guys! It pours sort of murky amber with no real head to speak of. The aroma offers up vinegar notes that move toward a light soured citrus and a faint echo of sweetness and prunes well off in the background. The taste delivers tartness that is restrained by a smooth sweetened vinegar note and then picking up a mild spicy wood sensation. So this is a Quad that is light, yes . . .light, crisp and refreshing somehow. It doesn’t even seem possible but that’s what I’m getting. It even seems like maybe an 8% ABV beer as its bottle stated ABV really isn’t apparent. Cool experience.

Bottle shared at Chris’ pad. Clear brown pour with no head. Smooth sour cheery aromas. Good stuff with lots of smooth caramel malt and sour cherry notes. Good mouthfeel and body..
