Bottle sampled at THE FESTIVAL 2013 in Maine with Andrew, Jay and Kramer. Pours a deep body with thin lacing. Aroma is light booze, funk and oak. Mouthfeel is medium with light acidity, wood, cognac, funky fruit and a light sour character.

pour @ the festival, portland. almost clear light brown-reddish with a minimal light beige head, some retention. some caramel, slightly burnt, spices, fruitiness - partly from quad belgian candi and malts and from cognac barrels, some chocolate and clearly acetic, although not overpowering. moderate carbonation, light body - tad weak, abv incredibly well hidden, light but puckering acidity. nice.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with no head. The aroma is brown sugar, yeast, and cognac. Thin mouthfeel with light sourness and sweet malt. Hides alcohol extremely well, easy to drink, really enjoyed this one.

Pouring at The Festival in Portland with Kramer, Andrew, and J-Dadmond. Pours a clear brown amber with no head. Sour acid, caramel, soft fruit. Soft cocoa, hints of chocolate, big acid. Oxidization, tart and chewy, tangy acid on the finish.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark black pour with tan head, but fades quick into nothing. Aroma brings notes of dark cherry, leather, tobacco, hints of booze, chocolate, slight oak, slight caramel. Taste is a mix of dark fruit, chocolate, oak, booze, some spice, leather, tobacco notes, hints of caramel, finishing fairly sweet, slightly tart, brett notes.

Bottle from Aaron. Thanks! Mahogany pour with a khaki head. Sweet caramel, dark fruit, and cognac up front. Some vanilla, oak, and a bit of vinegar. Vinous and leathery. The flavor is tart and acetic with some nice malty sweetness. Raisin, leather, cognac, and red grapes. Lots of oak, some vanilla, and plenty of caramel.

Botella. Deep amber reddish colour, hazy. Sweet toasty caramel fruity and dark fruity aroma, light acid/sour (not in a bad way). Good mouthfeel. Sweet flavour, caramel, toasty, dark fruits, fruity, woodish cognac like, sweet. alco warming, some acid. Nice!

Bottle at Papsø. Cloudy orange-brown coloured with a small off-white head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel, dried fruits and red wine. Fruity and light acidic flavour of red wine with notes of cognac. Tart finish.

37.5 cL bottle. Pours cloudy deep orange to amber with a small white head. Aroma is overripe fruity, plums and wineous. Thick, fruity and mild acetic. Lingering overripe fruity. Tart and dry fruity finish.
