3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
375mL from El Cerrito. Pours full haze, glowing peach juice. Nice white head. Spotty lacing. Off the bat really nice floral nose, flashes of pedio buttercream, big vanilla bean, flash of lemon toilet, bright acid and dialed in Brett. Taste has some harsher aspects on the edges, but in center it is extremely light bodied with mild cream from the pedio it seems and decent white grapefruit juice acid. It is refreshing, but not quite juicy enough and not as Brett assertive as I’d light. Still, the body is aerated, fluffy, and it is doing its job as a mild Brett citrusy witbier or mini-saison.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
9th December 2013
Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Colin. Hazy gold beer, small bubbly white head. Palate is softish and dry with mild carbonation. Great tangerine - marmalade fruits. Sherbetty grapefruit. Great start is then hamstrung by dry bitter hazlenuts. Fortunately it largely dissapates after a time. Light dry finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to Colin. It pours cloudy golden with a small white head. The nose is earth, spice, brett, soap, musty, light nuttiness, faint butter and white grape skin. The taste is crisp, tart, earth, wood, orange, tangerine, mandarin, Irn Bru and sherbet with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. No great depth to it, but it is pretty tasty.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
2013 / Batch 4. 375ml bottle into a tulip glass. Pours a hazy golden orange color with a finger of soapy white foam. Decent lacing. Aroma is a nice combination of juice oranges, crackers, and some brett funk. Not as herbal or spicy as other witbiers. Taste is similar, loads of crackery wheat and juicy oranges with a brett presence that leans on fruity before ending with a bit of musk. Just a touch of coriander and lemon grass. Creamy mouth feel with nice carbonation. Probably the best witbier I’ve had, valencia oranges and 100% brett really set this one off.
