St. Bretta is our 100% Brettanomyces Whitebier that was just released this week! Not only is St. Bretta an evolution of Wild Wild Brett Orange, but also it will be ever-changing depending on the fresh citrus available that season. For our spring release we decided to brew St. Bretta with fresh Minneola Tangelo. Each seasonal release of St. Bretta will have a diverse range of citrus fruit added to keep the beer fresh and exciting (the summer release was brewed with blood oranges)!

Very nice. If wits always turned out like this I’d be a fan. Cloudy yellow without much head or lacing. Citrus and lots of bretta in aroma. Sour finish with some crispness. Slick mouthfeel. Nice. Thanks to Sammy.

Bottle shared with Pat before some ramen at Ippudo, in HK NYC. Pours a lovely hazed yellow body with nice vibrant white head and lacing. Aroma is super tart lemons, barnyard funk and a crisp grassy character. Nearly perfectly balanced. Mouthfeel is dry and sour with notes of tart lemons, sour wheat, salt, lime and light tart citrus fruits. Overall, an incredibly balanced sour saison that could serve as a session beer as well.

Bottle. Courtesy of James. Pours hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of horse blanket, barnyard funk, sea air and lemon. Taste of salt water, lemon, and lactic, dry funk. Palate is dry as hell and tart. Juicy in the beginning but finishes very dry. Excellent. Sour. Gorgeous. Rustic. Gordon. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at lucky pie. A nice golden color. Effervescent, keeping a slight head throughout. Minimal lacing. Smells faintly sweet and bretty. A nice clean aroma, but not getting much else. Taste is fruity and more Brett tart. Finally getting some of that orange flavor that people are talking about. Mouthfeel is fairly thin. Overall I really enjoyed the beer. Nice and clean and fruity.

Thanks Bill for the cool extra. Pours a lightly hazed pale orange with a white head. Nose is bright grains, some dry, earthy Belgian yeast, saison like hops. Strikes a nice balance. Mouth is quite bright, lots of citrus, some wheat and well integrated hops. Sock-like brett comes up on the finish, very dry. Bright in the front palate with citrus and white pepper, then dry and earthy on the finish. Wet pavement and some salt emerge. High carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with small head. Aroma of wet rubber. Summer water balloons. Taste is lemon tart sour. Almost puckering. Thin on the finish with a slight bit of funk. The finish is light and needs a little more body. Good sour.

Refrigerated 375 ml brown bottle, from adnielson, poured into a weizen glass. Pours tranlucent pale golden with small white head. Sour brett aroma, medium body, low carbonation, smooth texture, and some small bubble lacing. Taste is tart brett, tangelo, and rich malt. Interestingly different.
