3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JUL 6, 2013 Bottle from AlexFields I think, thanks a lot sir! Pours a slightly cloudy golden with a really small white head that leave some lacing. Aroma is lactic, wild (funky), coming quite close to a gueuze I think. Taste is dry and sour, quenching. Flavors are lemon, wet hay and again lemon. Refreshing and light, really well made!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The Sampler, Brooklyn 375ml ($9): Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is vinegar, wood, wine, funk, and general tartness. Taste is tart and sour, prominently, but not excessively so. Woodiness is also very apparent. A little bit of sweetness makes its way in as well. Mild tart aftertaste. Way too easy to chug this expensive bottle in but a few sips, especially on a brutally hot day like today.

On tap at Belmont Station.
A: Cloudy dull yellow with a thin ring of head. Leaves some lacing on the glass.
N: Dense biscuit with a subtle sugar. Lemon zest and some of the oak. Decent.
T: Malty and sour combination. Lighter bitterness to round it out.
M: Lighter body with decent carbonation.
O: Don’t have much to say about this, unfortunately. A nice beer, but it doesn’t blow me away.

Bottle, 06/23/2013. Pours hazy burnt orange with monstrous rocky head, maze of lacing left behind as it dies down. Aroma is a cloud of brett, citrus and tropical notes, wheat, touch of funk. Taste is mildly tart tangerine and tropical character, bright funk, straw malts, bitter finish. Medium body, easy drinking. Delicious, wish I had bought more.
