Bottle I brought home with me from a trip to Denver. Labeled batch 7/11, bottle 429/1599. Pours a light amber with a white fizzy head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is of light fruity brett funk with a hint of pepper and tartness. Taste is of tart saison with some rustic malt character popping in, then moving on to a light fruitiness with some creamy oat in the finish. Light bitterness and hints of european hops. Palate is tart and quite dry but very refreshing and smooth. Overall this is a good farmhouse beer with a great tartness, mild and balanced funkyness that presents itself as ripe fruit. Delicate in its approach, bright and playful in its flavors and really pleasant to drink. Great beer!

Bootle from CASK, Pimlico. Hazy golden colour, small head. Vinous nose, hints of yoghurt and sour fruit. Good sour dryness throughout, fruity. Refreshing.

375ml bottle pours a slightly hazy orangey brown color. Medium sourness balances against the farmhouse funk.

Amazing tart sour light grain smell. A beautiful see though but full golden copper. A sharp tartness that blends to a light grain sour, smooth delicious. Great mouth feel coats and leaves a lasting sour after the liquid fades.

Unclear orange body with a nice white head. Aroma is malty hay, citrus, floral, spicy and funky. Taste is medium sour with a citrus hint. Reminds me of pomelo. Bitter finish.

Bottle from Beermoth, Manchester. Hazy, pale amber. Lasting, filmy, white head. Lime zest. White wine. Wood. Lemon. Taste is lemon tart. Light, woody dry. A hint of honey sweet. So far, so good, but a greasy, thick, dull palate really lets this beer down. If I knew what I was talking about, I’d say this has spent way too much time in a barrel. Finish is tart and dry. Utterly underwhelming.

375 ml bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a small white head that soon recedes to a fine film. The aroma is big with mixed fruits and bubble gum. The taste is tart with lemons in the forefront followed by apples and sour grapes set in a bready pils malt base. The palate was just a bit on the thin side and the carbonation was lively. Finished a bit short. Overall: Very nice tasty little saison, but the $10.00 price tag made this a very poor value.

From CO brother, shared with ck1 on the patio in the final afternoon of the family holiday weekend. Thanks Ken! Hazy orange pour. Heavy oaky funk. Tangy; cherries, brett. Not as good as the Vieille. ck1 says opposite.

37.5 cl bottle @ home. Pours hazy golden with a white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma and flavour are oranges, brett, wine, and oak - with a slightly tart finish.
