3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pale, clear straw with little head. Funky, sour apricot on the nose; a bit of barnyard as well. Definite brett note from start to finish with some lemon on the taste, but all nicely mellow. Low carbonation. Sour twang finishes it. A very nice refreshing saison.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
375mL batch 3 bottle.
Aroma is a balanced blend of cherry pie Brett notes and some light oak character. Some faint citrus and red apple as well as moderate pear and tropical fruit.
Pours a cloudy golden copper with a moderately thick, large, off white head that recedes fairly quickly. This beer was a bit of a gusher so be careful out there. Light lacing and no legs.
Flavor has a light, sweet graininess to it. Medium light acidity with some citrus character. Some tropical fruit and medium light pear notes. Light oak and medium light oak tannins. A touch of a phenolic character that isn’t quite plastic but is on its way there; currently more of a spicy note. Light bitterness. Some lingering acidity, citrus and Brett character; the lingering Brett is mostly pineapple but with a hint of cherry pie.
Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium high to high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall a pretty darn good saison but the carbonation is a bit high and the Brett character in the flavor has a phenolic note that isn’t plastic but is very close to it. I like the beer a lot but am concerned that if it changed just a little bit it could be pretty bad.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours hazy golden / orange with almost no head. The aroma has chardonnay, buttery oak, red berries, saison earthiness, bugginess, light nectar fruit and a very rustic edge to all of it. It has a medium / light crisp body with some fairly sharp carbonation. The flavor begins with vanilla, oak, nectar fruit, buggy funk, spice, berries, graininess and dry malt. The finish is dry, earthy and vinous. Great saison.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle: Thanks Joes: Served in a Chouffe glass:
Small to medium off white foamy head on top of a hazy yellow orange colored beer.
Aromas of yeast, brett, grapes, barnyard, wood, cheese, hay, sour, reminds me a bit of Cantillon.
Flavours of tart, yeast, hay, grapes and light grapefruit, light bitter, wood, floral herbs, brett, lovely! Tart, wood and yeast. Yummi!
Aftertaste is a mix of bitters and sours/tart, yeast, fruit, wood and some floral tones.
Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium to full body and a creamy texture.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle thanks to Armin! Pours a hazy amber gold with a thin head, aroma has quite a bit going on, a good amount of barnyard mixed in with some funk and sourness as well, a little bit of grape and fruit, the flavor has a tart front end with a crisp and easy drinking finish, a little bit of funk, was hoping for a little more on the flavor but still solid all around, nice stuff.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Just an outstanding beer. Tartness is light but evident. Slight Saison aroma but not as funky as Vielle. Very drinkable and now one of my favorites.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, Gotta pay 8 or 9 bucks for these but every now and then it’s worth it. A wonderful tart saison. Pours a light hazy orange with a touch of white head around the edges. Smell includes light funk, hay, citrus. Taste is moderately sour -- enough if you’re a fan of sours but not so much that someone who usually doesn’t like kind of thing couldn’t enjoy it. Barrel characteristics not overpowering but present. Light carbonation carries it through. Love this stuff.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Probably my second favorite beer by CS. Tons of vinous grapey flavors with some oak, funky brett, lactic tartness, and the typical sulfuric extra funky crooked stave yeast. The last firework always gets put in the tube upside down.
