Healthy orange pour that’s pretty cloudy, full inch of slightly offwhite head. Soft aroma of belgian yeasts with an equal amount of tart berry sour. Soft carbonation, lightly tingly mouthfeel, sour dry finish reminiscent of a white wine. Strong citrus, tangerine and citrus zest, zesty pert yeast with strong brett/cracked pepper flavor, some grape and metallic copper too. Way good saison.

37,5 cl bottle @ home. Batch #6, bottled 2013
Aroma is a bit light with fruity tones, some peaches and white wine tones. Flavour has white wine, bretta tones and some ripe apples. Some milky tones and green apples in the acidic finish. I liked the vieille artisanal more.

375ml bottle from Bierkompass

Pours yellowish orange with a smooth white head. Aroma of bretta, wood, tart fruits, orange peel, spices and yeast. Taste is tart fruity, woody and vinous with notes of bretta, orange peel, hints of oak, spices and yeast. Finish is vinous and tart fruity with some bretta and spices. Quite vinous but complex and tasty saison.

Bottle Pour is hazy copper with a thin layer of white bubbles. Aroma and flavor loaded with rustic white wine, earth, light tartness, wood, and light funk. Flavor more tart than aroma indicted. Finish is long and bready. Another great beer from this brewery.

Batch 8, 2013. Bottle from Bottle Barn on my California trip. Pours clear dark copper colored with a small creamy white head. Tart citrusy aroma, sour apples, tart cherries, lots of bright things to like on the aroma. Flavor is sweet wheaty grains, hay, some light oak, vinous notes, a little yeast funk and light tartness. Bit of a dirty wheat-like finish. Slick and on the heavier side for my tastes in the style. Low carbonation, really needs a good bit more. Not really what I was expecting here.

Pours amber with a thin white head. Smells of dry malt, some hay, some tarte elements. Tastes tarte and dry with some residual lemony hints on the finish.

Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Tart and oak aroma with light fruitiness. Tart and light spice flavor with oak and light fruitiness. Medium bodied. Tart/light sour notes linger with oak, light spice, and fruitiness.

Bottle at the Sybarite Pig in Boca Raton, FL. Snifter. Great light amber color with small one finger pillowy head. Aroma smells of tart apples, pears, and cherries with a hint of citrus. The taste is mild, tart, pears, apples, and white wine. You can taste the grapes from the barrel. Very delicate. Light body, refreshing, great carbonation. Mouth is tingly and dry.
