Poured a nice golden color with a thumbs width white head. Sweet and a little tart in aroma along with the funk. Flavor was great. A nice sweet malt backbone to it, some juicy pear, and a nice tartness to it. Medium bodied, smooth, and kind of creamy mouthfeel. Really liked this one a lot, would love to drink again.

I poured this into a tulip. The appearance was a hazy golden color with a quarter finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. There was some light lacing here and there in a messy sort of way. The smell had some funky light grassiness with a light sweet lemon and then a tart lemon. The flavor was pretty much exactly the same. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. The finish has an insane amount of a long bitter tart lemon. Overall, decent saison, its definitely different than what a lot of what I’ve had so far in my saison experience, but hey different can be good. I think I could do this again.

A mild saison, slightly tart and funky, with a lasting finish, this refreshing drink is slightly carbonated, murky yellow with lasting rim and whispy head that laces the glass. I enjoyed it, Yeast and brett, salty and sour.

375 ml. bottle. 2014 batch 11. Pours a minimal off white head, over a hazy gold (SRM 5) body.....nose is light lactic acid, hints of apple, lemon, barnyard funk, hints of cereal, no hops, balance to the yeasts.....taste is lightly sour with lactic notes, sour apple, lemon, hints of barnyard funk, vinous notes, minimal malts, light hops......mouth feel, light of medium body, light astringency, no alcohol, carbonation adds creaminess to the acid. The acids dominate in both aroma and flavor. The result is a refreshing, quenching beer, that has evolved beyond a Saison into the realm of sour beers. It is quite nice, just really not a mainstream Saison. BJCP 6/3/12/4/6

Bottle brought back from my Denver trip. Kind of a hazy murky orange/amber with a small fleeting white head. Tart aroma of apricots, and peaches. More tart fruit flavors, with a little perfume floral note. More of a full on sour than a saison. Full flavors and moderate acidity. A little of that farmhouse yeast but mostly dominated by the more classic sour flavors. Very nice.
