COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Vieille meaning “Old” is our artisinal barrel-aged Saison, lightly dry hopped. Each batch release is a diverse blend of Vieille casks that have taken on a soft Brettanomyces character before being lightly dry hopped. Dominated by a floral, citrusy hop character, a subtle herbal note and a tart finish, Vieille’s character exemplifies artisan Saisons.

Looks good; a hazy golden orange with thin white lacing. Smells and tastes lightly dry-hopped, tart, earthy, oaky, and a little bretty with a nice, refreshing mouthfeel. Good beer.

375 ml bottle from Beer Trappe. Dry. Total funk in nose and taste. Then followed by apricot and lemon. That overall aroma and flavor is really lovely if you like this kind of beer. And I do.

Hazy pale yellow with minimal lacing. Aroma of lactobacillus and brettanomyces, nice and funky with mild hop character. Nice and tart with a dry finish.

375ML Bottle. Cloudy golden pour with decent head but little retention. Nose of lemon, grass, brett, other citrus, and funk. Taste is pretty similar. Light on the palate and fairly dry. Refreshing stuff.

375ml bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy golden/copper with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of a nice hoppiness, some caramel and pale malts, and hints of tartness. Flavor has the nice Brett finish that is very common for this brewery plus a good amount of hops. Average texture. Another solid beer from this place.

Bottle shared by Drew. Thanks! Pours an attractive yellow, mostly clear with a stiff white head. Nose is a bit of skunk with some lemon peel. Peppery with some pineapple brett and earthy. Dominant herbal hops. On tasting, quite dry and refreshingly tart and crisp. Very clean and refreshing. Kickin stuff here!

Bottle. Almost clear golden liquid with medium white head. Aroma of lemons, white pepper, barnyard, citrus peel, bread and bubblegum. Taste is dry, light bitter and light sour with notes of lemons, barnyard, white pepper and bread. Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Really nice.

375ml bottle. Pours cloudy blonde with a thin white head. Aroma has big notes of Brett with a good amount of barnyard funkiness, wet wood, bright citrus and grass. Taste is funky, tart and crisp with notes of Brett, oak/wood, grass, hay, must, soft herbal notes, and citrus peel. Finish is dry and crisp with the perfect amount of tartness. This was really delicious.

After tasting this... I wish I would have brought home more crooked stave. Oh well. I guess I will just have to go back to Colorado one day. Pours a hazy peach colour. Aromas of horse blanket, citrus, soap, and grass. Flavours of bitter oak and lemon zest. Some nice funk going on there too. Quality beverage.
