COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wild Wild Brett Indigo is the sixth installment of the WWB series. WWB Indigo had blueberries added into the fermentation and during barrel aging. Known for their deep indigo color, the blueberries add a tart fruit aroma on top of the earthy Brettanomyces tropical fruit flavors.

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2013 On Tap at Hill Farmstead Tap Takeover @ Prohibition Pig

A - Insanely cloudy. Ruby red 3 finger fluffy reddish head. Faded to almost nothing

S - Nose is all blueberry. A hint of vinegar but not much.

T - Taste is insanely fruity. Lovely blueberry tastes. Lemon peel and grape skins. Very little vinegar to taste.

WOW

via Bottle # 1150 of 1500

A - 3 finger slightly off white head. Slightly cloudy muted purple appearance. Looks like a lighter blueberry tint of every other blueberry sour I’ve had.

S - More Blueberry than I experienced on tap..probably just the glass. Still a lot of grape skins and more vinegar.

T - Vinegar taste, grape skins and blueberry tartness.

M - Medium carbonation, light body. Very lingering in the fruitiness

O - Bottle is superior to tap on this one. Bottle conditioning? Probably

750ml bottle. Thanks to Adam for sharing... Pours a mostly opaque medium copper penny hue and topped with a thinnish soapy white head... Bretty pineapple presence with must. Berry fruit to go along with the preceding... Flavors are more of the same with a more sour tart quality going on. Bretty must throughout. Kind of nice overall. Medium bodied or just shy thereof with light and lively carbonation.

750 ml Bottle. The pour was a hazy dark burnt orange with an average (1-2 finger) off white fizzy head that dissipated quickly, down to a scattered layer of residue with a very small collar which produced not so good runny lacing. The aroma had a bold tartness right up front with a grain malt and a musty Brett yeast along with notes of blueberry, cherries, yogurt and a bit of oak cask. The taste was sweetly tart and rather fruity throughout, progressing with a bold sourness, a hint of oak cask and a somewhat light berry presence at the end. The flavor was gone way to fast after the swallow for such a tasty brew, basically fading very quickly from the taste buds leaving almost nothing behind. Mouthfeel was just past light in body and dry in texture with a strong ticklish carbonation. Overall this was a fantastic tasting brew with a very smooth and easy drinkability, what can I say this brewer did it again...

750ml bottle, shared with ablackshear. Thanks! Pours a cloudy dark amber color with a in white head. Aroma is Brett, a light touch of fruit. Medium on the palate with soft, fine carbonation. Flavor is sour, funky, Brett, light blueberry. Very tasty. Would have liked more blueberry, but the bottle is not exactly super fresh.

(750ml bottles) Pours a cloudy orangish tan body with a medium white head. Aroma of blueberries, pineapple, oak, yogurt, cheese, and biscuit. Flavor of blueberries, lacto, brett, earth, and wood with a dry finish. This is developing well...

Appearance: Pours a cloudy dark orange with a thin white film.

Aroma: Blueberry yogurt, a touch of funk.

Taste: Skunky hop, mild pale malt, blueberry greatness, yogurt. The blueberry lends a little tartness, but nothing I would consider sour.

Mouthfeel: Thin, juicy. Moderate carbonation.

Overall: Very tasty, very balanced. I had no expectations going in to this either. I’ve heard over the top ooohs and ahhs for Crooked Stave and I’ve heard people dismiss their offerings. I’ve had three of their beers now and have been satisfied with each one I tried.
