3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled at GABF 2012. This boothís beers went fast. They were the "it" brewery of the fest. This one had a nice acidity and grabbed you. Wish the blueberries had come through a little more but I enjoyed this.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Drank at the brewery. Pours a cloudy reddish brown color with a medium white head. A big nose of sour fruit and wood. The flavor isnít massive blueberries, but more sweet fruit that isnít easy to distinguish without knowing, very soft palate, some oak, light funky dry brett. Very nice. Vanilla as well.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured into a tulip. Big thanks to stevefinny for this. Batch 7/12, bottle #1344 of 1516.
3.5 A: Murky amber peach color. Two fingers of frothy/foamy off-white head. Retention is around average and just a couple whisps of lacing are left.
3.5 S: Lots of good brett aroma in this. Musty basement, old dry wood, and general woodziness. Blueberry comes next and Iím unsure about what to think about it. Itís somewhat tart, somewhat overripened to the point of decay, and somewhat sweet. Perhaps somewhat medicinal and garbagy as well. Sweet overall for a brett beer with caramel, a light toastiness, and a touch of diacetyl butter.
3.5 T: Taste is like the nose for the most part. Musty basement, dry wood, outdoors funk from the brett. Surprisingly little tartness from the blueberries. Rather, they come off as on the sweeter side. The problem though, is that there isnít quite enough of them. Many a brewer uses too little and the result is that it comes off as watered down juice or something. Itís not too bad in this beer, but it is apparent nonetheless. Again thereís a touch of butter, medicine, and the slightest hints of acetone. Malty for a brett beer with caramel, toast, and apple fruitiness.
3.5 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation that is very lightly spritzy. Smooth.
4.0 D: A couple categories were borderline next best, so a little boast here.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at the barrel cellar - hazy light red - reminds me very much of the rouge in this series, in that it is very understated and mild/mellow, which is quite welcome - a nice mellow Brett funk and earthiness, as well as slight tropical notes - all of this is complimented nicely by the subtle addition of the blueberries, which add some depth, light sweetness - the funkiness is augmented by the skins of the fruit - very light acidity - pleasant and subtle - I enjoyed it.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: SEP 16, 2012 bottle-conditioned 750ml. opaque rose / rust colored body with a fine-bubbled off-white head. nose has more of an ester and acid focus than blueberries, and with the chalkiness and strong calcium it comes across like berry-flavored antacid tablets, though still with some blueberry skin and blackberry pulp. thereís also a distinct sock sweat / body odor / limburger cheese bacteria smell that grows as the beer warms and opens up. the fruit addition gives it a mish-mash of blueberry, blackberry, strawberry and other fruits, and the brett seems to give it a tropical fruit / banana / pineapple juice character in the aroma. medium body with soft natural carbonation. flavor throughout is that same chalky / calcium antacid tablet with a coarse graininess on the tongue and palate; mineral-heavy with dried berries and touches of lime and mint. decent body weight throughout and the carbonation matches it well. surprisingly, this one doesnít have the same sudden thinning in the finish, though it does thin and become a bit watery, but not suddenly as with the others in the series, but maybe thatís something that is less apparent with higher gravity. like the Blue, itís well-made and mildly interesting and easy to enjoy (if you can ignore the limburger notes) but lacks depth. it started out around 3.4 but as it opened and breathed more it starts to slide down into the upper-2s (the BO bacteria and stinky cheese is especially noticeable as it opens).

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a grapey blue color with hints of rust on the edges... finger or two of eggshell foam that settles quickly. Aromas are bright, blueberry, oak, earthy funk and a touch of pineapple... On the palate its bright with some wild blueberry acidity mingling nicely with some funky oak tartness that tones the touch of berry sweetness down to a refreshing quenching level. Beautifully balanced and a pure pure pleasure to drink !

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle - batch 7/12, bottle 1150/1516. Pours a hazy amber with reddish-violet hues and a medium creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass some.
The aroma is sweet bready malts with tart/sour blueberries with a little stink and funk from the brett and some slight vomit notes.
The flavor is sweet blueberries with some tart citric notes and some earthy brett and vanilla. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, a nice blend of tart blueberries and brett. The best blueberry beer Iíve had. A little too sweet.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Looks a copper color out of the bottle. Thin white head, doesnít stay long. Great tart smell with blueberry and some funky wood. The taste was not what I expected. The smell was so tart but it has a nice sweetness to it. Also with brett being in the name I expected that flavor to be more present but it is ever so subtle.
