COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like all of the Wild Wild Brett Series, Violet is a 100% Brettanomyces beer. Violet was brewed with pomegranate and lavender and fermented on whole fruit passion fruit. After fermentation Violet was then dry-hopped with an experimental hop (Ex. 366) that we received from our growers.

Admin Note: Aging on "Extra Passionfruit" and dry hopping (an already dry hopped beer) does not necessitate a new entry.

Bottle (750 ml). From Scott, thanks! Clear bright golden/orange with a small/medium white head and some lacing. Aroma is of lavender, brettanomyces, red fruits and nice tartness. Taste is fruit oriented (red fruits) with lavender/floral notes, brettanomyces, nice tartness and a lactic presence. Light to medium body. Good carbonation. Slightly dry finish. Fruity and amazingly drinkable/thirst quenching.

Bottle from the very generous Scott - thanks! Glowing light copper orange color in the glass with a slick of white foam. Aroma is clean brett with noticeable lavender, underlying sweet fruit, and a crisp lemon tart through the finish. Taste is dry, clean brett with a vibrant collection of sweet fruit, slight lavender, and a complimentary floral element. Touch of lemon and even some minimal funk in there as well. Quite amazing how clean and distinct the brett is and how it acts like a stage for the other ingredients. Crisp, dry mouthfeel. Unique and very good.

Tried this several months before the bottle release at Ernieís Pizza. . It is a hazy orange gold with a very subtle violet tint. Solid carbonation. I believe they brewed this a while ago, but I doubt the brett has fully ídone itís thingí on this yet. Nose was mostly passionfruit and some lemon citrus. Taste followed with a nice tart finish of strawberry guava and earthy brett. My immediate thought was of the Jolly Pumpkin Sobre Humano...very similar.

Updating rating-didnít realize my first rating was of the passionfruit aged version. On tap yesterday (5/19/13) at the release party. Much the same as passionfruit version, but the tartness is a bit more rounded than I recall. Really tasty and unique and again very even-handed as I have come to expect from these guys.

Saturday afternoon football and beer crew. First impression here is that the pomegranate hits in a unique way with its distinct bitterness. Maybe iíve been hanging around babies too much recently but I canít get past the aroma I am experiencing without thinking of other very unfortunate baby related events. Flavors and textures more than makes up for it though. Slightly and nicely tart. Very dry finish. Every sip brings out something new which is a hallmark for me of a truly incredible beer. Pours a murky dull orange color. Iíd give it a higher score except for my hang up with this aroma. Itís probalby only me though with this since no one else today got the same thing.

With my Atl boyz. This beer kicked off (and I hate this word) an epic beer day. Five 4+ ratings came out. Nose is super funky, floral, complex, burnt rubber. Brett galore, funky, tart, dry, awesome, pomegranite, floral, fruity. Really nice and a hell of a kick starter.

Mexican Cake Supertrade Series Beer with jrob21, Westmeister, and deadCATAtlanta Beer #1. Pours hazy pear with quickly dissipating head. Scent is violet and burnt rubber, in a good way. Barely sweet with strong bitter finish. Light and bubbly to style. Bottle - Trade
