COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like all of the Wild Wild Brett Series, Violet is a 100% Brettanomyces beer. Violet was brewed with pomegranate and lavender and fermented on whole fruit passion fruit. After fermentation Violet was then dry-hopped with an experimental hop (Ex. 366) that we received from our growers.

Admin Note: Aging on "Extra Passionfruit" and dry hopping (an already dry hopped beer) does not necessitate a new entry.

750ml bottle, courtesy of Aaron. Thanks! Split with my bride. Pours a cloudy orange amber color with a white head. Aroma is fruity, papaya, mango, freshly bloomed flowers. Light to medium on the palate with light, soft carbonation. Flavor is lightly sour, citrusy, grapefruit, but not in the normal hoppy way, more flowers, with a light, tart finish. Excellent.

Opened by Baron for Game 7 of the Hawks-Wings series. Pours a murky yellow orange in color with a half fingers worth of tight white head. Nose is bursting with fruit punch goodness. You can definitely pick out the pomegranate and lavender really well. Flavor is incredibly fruity as well. There is a prominent lactic/citric quality to it, it’s incredibly sour/tart in the back of my throat. Light mouthfeel, sour, gentle carbonation, and a long citrus finish. My favorite Crooked Stave by a long stretch, probably one of my favorite beers of the year so far.

On tap at Crooked Stave. Golden orange and hazy with a white head. The aroma is tart, fruity and floral. Similar flavor with a nice sour bite and a medium body. Refreshing and very tasty.

Draft at Crooked Stave. Hazy light orange pour. Nose is tropical with some softness to it. Sour, but not overtly so. Really fun tropical fruit taste as well. Very very nice!!

UPDATED: APR 29, 2013 Bottled, early release. It did indeed have some carbonation. This one is just spectacular, nice sourness, good funk, but the passion fruit and pomegranet character is jsut so fucking good.
