3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 JCB (3808) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAY 23, 2013
Big ups to main man Prof K for this one! I’ve really enjoyed this series so far, and this was likely the most uncompromisingly tart of the series. Nose was very understated in terms of the listed ingredients, with hints of tannins, mild spice, and tart fruit, the latter coming across most prominently because of the abundant tartness. Pert, spritzer mouthfeel, plenty acetic too. Taste reveals itself at length, with muted spice and mango coming across well. You can almost imagine thickening this up and dipping chapatis in it.

Medium to full body with a sticky texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy sour flavor with a medium to heavy sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer for style.

Shared by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike.
The beer is hazy and straw yellow with a lasting, white head. The aroma offers soap, lemon zest, citrus. Good flavor, with a palate coating, creamy citrus vibe. A bit too soapy in both the flavor and feel. A bit unbalanced. Decent...eh...
