| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 15, 2007 Brown with a thick light beige head. Aroma of honey, toasted malt, and a wisp of floral hops. Also fruitiness on the nose, which was hard to pin down, but I settled on blueberry as the closest description. Flavor is mildly nutty, roasty even, with some woodsiness and a dusting of cocoa in the finish. Hops were moderate, keeping the focus on the deep maltiness. I thought this was quite good. I had absolutely no idea this weighed in at almost 7% ABV, the alcohol is fabulously well hidden. Chapel (330), Levittown, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 24, 2007 Clear copper/amber color with a bit of head. Strong caramel taste and a bit of that unique flavor that you can only really find in an amber ale. From other descriptions I would have to conclude that it is a mix of raisin, honey and gingersnap, however I would not have put that together by myself as this beer, and indeed all well done amber ales, have a very unique flavor. kopher (309), New York, USA

aroma is pretty malty, with some pear and other fruit
tastes kind of watered down, there’s some malt and very slight bitterness in the finish, but it’s kinda boring
and i do not believe there’s 7% abv in here
thin body also, but i guess that complements the lack of flavor georgekappus (296), Brookfield, Connecticut, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 4, 2008 A very strange brew, this one is. Really beautiful amber pour, nice thick head, and smells really sweet and malty and also carries hints of dark fruit.
Very sweet, almost fruity with lots of malt as well. Pretty easy drinking brew, but not something I would seek out to drink. Glad I got to try yet another otherwise unattainable beer. MaliMisho (215), East Meadow, New York, USA
