Not sure why this is listed as a Blue Point beer, as I believe (or was led to believe by what I read on the board at the brewery) this beer is brewed by Brick House. In any event, I enjoyed a pint of this one at the bar. Pours to a deep amber to red color, with a thick, creamy, white head, and a soft to moderate carbonation. The nose on this beer is estery, with lots of good fruity aromas of apple and plum, with some nice caramel malt sweetness, and hints of black pepper. The palate is soft and fat on the tongue, with good sweet and stewed malt flavors, paired some fruity esters. This beer finishes with more good sweet and caramel malt up front, then ends with some slight cirtus hop bitterness, and light alcohol heat that lingers. Tasty beer, with some good malty and estery character. A nice beer to relax with at the bar, and a nice beer to enjoy to take home in a growler. I liked this one.

Bottle. Clear dark reddish amber with a quickly fading head. Cereal to caramel malt aroma with some plummy esters and mild hop and earth notes. Off-sweet dark cereal malt flavors with fair hops underneath, leaving a pleasantly bitter finish. Pretty good I thought, though objectively speaking, this seems like another run of the mill micro amber ale.

bottle from joekinty: pours a dark amber caramel colour with a small off white head. a nice deep malt aroma full of caramel with a decent hop profile to go with it, some dark breads also decent aroma. flavour is very bready with a toffe malt that is a little dirty tasting, some earth hops round out the flavour and make it quit enjoyable not the best amber i have ahd but a good drinker.

Brown with a thick light beige head. Aroma of honey, toasted malt, and a wisp of floral hops. Also fruitiness on the nose, which was hard to pin down, but I settled on blueberry as the closest description. Flavor is mildly nutty, roasty even, with some woodsiness and a dusting of cocoa in the finish. Hops were moderate, keeping the focus on the deep maltiness. I thought this was quite good. I had absolutely no idea this weighed in at almost 7% ABV, the alcohol is fabulously well hidden.

red-brown pour, off-white head aroma is pretty malty, with some pear and other fruit tastes kind of watered down, there’s some malt and very slight bitterness in the finish, but it’s kinda boring and i do not believe there’s 7% abv in here thin body also, but i guess that complements the lack of flavor

Clear copper/amber color with a bit of head. Strong caramel taste and a bit of that unique flavor that you can only really find in an amber ale. From other descriptions I would have to conclude that it is a mix of raisin, honey and gingersnap, however I would not have put that together by myself as this beer, and indeed all well done amber ales, have a very unique flavor.

Bottle. This beer starts off like an irish red as it warms the alcohol and hop flavors come forward. Not a bad beer but the aliens can have it back.
