2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask at The Three Greyhounds, Nicholson’s, London. Pours clear, red-brown with a small, creamy tan cap. Some dusty, dirty dark malts in the aroma. Lightly sweet flavor, very little ’cherry’ presence, some bitter cocoa, dull earth. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweet with with an oddly abrasive bitterness. Some burnt, bitter cocoa. Doesn’t do it for me.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask, handpump at The Palace, Kirkgate, Leeds, W.Yorks 18.03.12 in company of dad & Barry Conker brown with a reddy glint and creamy off white head. Fruity in the mouth with some tangy fruit skins adding a bit of bite to this. Cherry shows a little but overall its ok and whilst I didn’t mind it I wouldn’t necessarily rush out to hunt this beer out again. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

On cask at The Haymarket. Pours a very dark brown colour with a thick light tan head. Aroma of cherries, dark chocolate and roasty malt. Reminds me of a Cherry Ripe. Similar flavours with a nice roasty linger and just a little sweetness from the cherries. Mild carbonation and a chewy mouth-feel.
