3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 harrisoni (10070) - Ashford, - FEB 10, 2006
Cask gravity at Battersea Beer Festival 2006. Hoppy and deep citrus aroma, some grapefruit. Hop, dry finish is quite pleasant. quite tasty peppery/herby hop and good juicy malt. Didn’t think that it was as strong as 5.1%, but definitely drinkable.

Cask at The Anchor Inn, Oakerthorpe, Derbyshire. An impressive looking dark chestnut pint with a cream head; smooth and dry with nutty malt flavours; and a pleasingly bitter aftertaste with some sweetness as well.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 21, 2006
Cask (gravity dispense), Battersea Beer Festival. Quite dark (for a bitter) chestnut colour. Sweetish malt aroma. Caramel and a soft, earthy bitterness on the palate. Smooth mouthfeel. A touch too mellow for my taste - I prefer rather more bite in a bitter - but pleasant enough.

Cask@Battersea Beer Festival. Close to being quite good. Quite a soft malty mouthfeel, mixed with a touch of floral hop characters. There was a slight cosmetic bitterness in the finish, which mde me think it wasn’t quite ready, but this did soften as we worked our way through it.

Cask Conditioned at The New Inn, Cropton. A dark brown beer with bubbly head. Heavy malty beergiving a smooth velvety flavour, heavy on the tongue. Fine whisky alcohol flavours.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 rauchbier (3205) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JUN 15, 2002
Bottle conditioned. very good head with lots of lace and good condition, but the beer itself was way too yeasty, malt and fruit is apparent but gets too harsh and bitter in the finish.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 leaparsons (6324) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2002
A stronger bitter than many with more malts character. Not as sharp in the bitterness as Cropton’s King Billy Bitter. I would drink it again.
