Cask at Carpenters Arms in Windsor, 10th September 2012. Good clean golden ale, great easy drinking ale, the hops really come through, I enjoyed this one

On tap @ the Haymarket. Pours golden with a little bit of an oily haze and a nicely proportioned head. The nose is like vanilla custard and meadowsweet. The taste has more of that custard and flowers thing. The palate makes it - medium bodied, big creamy texture but an elegant finish. Power with elegance, you don’t often get that. Overall, a stunning ale.

Handful at The Ship (Monument). Clear gold with a largish lasting white head. Orane zest with wheat and a bit of tropical fruit - good sweet fruit - bitterness balance, some alc. Taste follows, more citrus and some resin, solid tropical fruit malt backbone. Airy, chewy, idly carbonated, medium bitter slightly grapefruit pith finish. A very, very nice cask take on an APA.

Cask conditioned handpump Victoria Leeds 15/08/12. A golden beer with a white head and lacing. Nice orangey citrus hops in the mouth. A bit oversweet in the nose and late on in the mouth. Fruits are prevalent but don’t really balance well. Reasonable but worrying.

Half pint, cask ale at The Victoria Hotel in Leeds. Slightly unclear, copper coloured body. Patchy, white surface. More fruity than malty to the nose. Fruit and resin-like hops in flavour with a malty support. Fresh fruity bitterness on the swallow. A decent version of the style (11.07.2012).

Cask by handpump at Drum & Monkey, Glasgow (28 Jul 12) - deep golden ale, bubbly off-white head, slight haze, tropical fruit hop aroma, pine notes, good temperature, grassy, fruity, moderate carbonation, easy to drink

Cask handpull at Christopher Hatton Hatton Gardens. Orange copper colour with lasting grey head. Hay grassy quite fliral hoppy beer with some bitterness. Yes drinkable. Not sure what it has to do with Hawaii though
