Cask; Seasonal - November & December.
A strikingly amber coloured ale, sporting a full-bodied texture, followed by a floral and citrus aftertaste.
The Aurora is often known as The Northern Lights is a spectacular, multi-coloured, naturally occurring light display that occurs over the snow covered landscapes of the Arctic and Antarctic.
We wanted to bring this vision to Cross Bay Brewery and The Morecambe Bay area with a seasonal special, intended to conjure up a striking winter wonderland scene.
Try With: Beef, poultry, spicy meals & zingy cheeses.

Cask conditioned at The Anchor, Birmingham. Amber with white head. Quite a heavy flavour with this, we thought creosote for some reason, like waterproofing the fence. Pretty harsh on the palate and quite bitter. Borderline.

Cask handpull, back at The Criterion, Leicester, 01/12/12. Tawny with a loose white head. Old carpet, dust, ginger, slight balsamic nose. Biscuit, hazelnut and caramel indistinctly bittered. Sesame and butter touches. An OK bitter.

Gravity - Dark Copper colour with a thin white average head. Smell of dark fruit - peach with some yeast. Light thin body. Earthy, caramel, tart sour apple with a bitter hop finish. Cherry and malt. Its very borring. Cross bay is trying but I don’t feel it here.
