Winter Moon is a dark and rich porter. However, this is a porter with a twist; it boasts a thick, dark chocolate and caramel body, which is followed by a lemon rind and pine aftertaste.
Traditionally, different cultures around the world have given the moon various names. January and February moon names are often associated with winter, which is why we adopted the name ‘Winter Moon’ for our dark and delicious January and February creation.
Try With: Puddings, chocolate, grilled meats and smoked fish.

Clear dark black brown colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, burnt malt, dark roasted, coffee. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120118]

Solid Black with a light red tint with a lasting tan frothy head. Smells of roast coffee and light berry. Medium thin light body. Starts strong with a nice smooth roast with some sweetmalt and finishes with of light rotten fruit taste that becomes stronger. It slowly becomes thin and stale as the pint goes down.

Dark, chocolatey head. Roasty. Dry. Coffee too. Simple, but quite nice. Rich for its strength.
