A: Amber/Golden Straw Hue, Passes Most Light, White Head Ring, Decent Lacing
S: Mild Honey, Mild Rye, Mild Bready Malts
T: Bready Malts, Mild Rye, Mild Honey
M: Average Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Mildly Bitter
Overall, the style was okay but I just donít think the honey and the rye meshed well together.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
In short: A sweet amber ale with honey and some rye. Meh.
How: Tap at brewpub.
The look: Clear golden-copper body topped by a very small beige head,
In long: The timid nose is basic toasted cereals with hints of honey sweetness. Not much of the advertised rye in the aroma. In mouth the beer has a slightly oily texture, an adequate body for a below 5% brew and a soft carbonation. Taste has crisp cereals with some honey. There are some toasty oily rye bread notes. Oily sweet cereals in the after-taste. Could have used little hop kick for better balance. A very clean beer but this light beer tasted sweeter than what I want from a light beer, this is a 4.7% beer that I didnít find sessionnable. Very boring. This beer was so boring, if this beer was a person she would be the ugly lady at the party with sleepers in her hands asking people to take off their shoes.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewery. Pours a mostly clear orange hued amber with a thin white head. Sweet honey with the faintest hints of toasted malt and even a little lemon. Medium bodied with very light honey into a gentle malt bitterness. Crisp honey and the faintest bit of citrus and rye. Super easy drinking with a lot of character to keep it interesting. Light caramel on the finish.

on tap at the Xroads pub, into my mug.
pours a dark amber color, small head with ok retention. Nose is nice and malty, add toffee. Taste is well balanced, leans slightly sweet. Good pale malt base with slight hint of chocolate, toffee, light citrus hop presense, hint of honey. Groovy. Medium bodied, creamy mouth. quite the session beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Growler from Westmere Beverage. Pours slightly hazy, dark orange and red, with a small beige head. Aromas of mild grass clippings, sweet malt, and raisin. The flavor is grassy hops and slight floral bitterness, with some lightly buttered caramel. Smooth and easy-drinking.
