6.2%? You must be mad....this one kicked me in the head far more than that.....oh yeah, I had three. Draft at the brewpub. Stout lightly surrounded by Oaken tone that merges with body to deliver a thin tannin line up to the point where the moderate pumpkin flavor emerges and takes it from there to finish. Fantastically slick shimmering black in the glass with a dense thick brownish head. All senses say YUM. Light wood tone at finish re-emerges briefly.

coldbrewky coming through with a growler, pours deep dark amber with tan edges. has a quick tan foam head that leaves little lacing. nose of nutmeg, ginger, burnt sugar. spicing lingers from beginning to end, roasted malt, pumpkin. Oak woodiness comes and goes on the finish. has a thick sludgy body for @ 6% abv, also hits like a brick through a windshield.

Medium sized tan head with fair retention and a sticky lace. Clear, deep brown, ruby hued brew, pretty. Nose is soft with spicey notes and faint roasted malts, lil crusty. Body is medium with a gentle carbonation, lil oily and nicely creamy. Spices gain as this brew warms, ginger and nutmeg getting more pronounced along with notes of chocolate and light roast and a hint of squash and pie crust in there too. Finish is fairly dry with a gingery tang.I just couldnt find the oak though, a bit much going on?? Many thanks to coldbrewky for the hand bottled growler and a first rate. Ahhhhhh stevely.
