Hops for thia beer were grown by my buddy coldbrewky. Amber hue small head that reduces quickly. Nose is clean with hint of grapefruit and tangerine. Taste is sweet caramel up front balanced nicely with grapefruit and other citrus. Mouth is light bodied, slightly drying. A solid apa from hutch.

S: Bready, Biscuits, Mildly Floral

Overall, a nice bready malty pale that doesn’t go hop burn but still gives you the bitterness.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Rating #4560)

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
My Bottom Line :
Orange-scented hop leaves also contribute earthiness, as slender caramel and honey are met by floral hop resins in the finish.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A veil of foam covers the cloudy dark amber.
-The leafy character is reminiscent of longly-steeped tea.
-The hop bitterness is leveled to the rest of the brew’s medium intensity.
-This is nicely drinkable throughout and is exactly what you expect when ordering a Harvest Pale Ale, or something similar, in good American brewpub.
-That being said, it could have been a bit more aromatic to showcase the said hops.
-The mouthfeel was smooth and creamy, as if it was handpulled, naturally carbonated.
Growler. Thx Steve!!

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler courtesy of coldbrewky, Thanks Steve. Pours a translucent new penny copper color with a smallish off-white head that has soon fades to a film. The aroma is mild with weeds, citrus, pine and a bit of toffee. The taste is bitter hops forward with grapefruit, resins and some pine nuts. The malt base is semi-sweet biscuit with a touch of caramel. The palate is just a bit thinner than I would prefer and its light and crisp with lively carbonation. Finishes long, dry and leaves a lingering pine nut bitterness. Overall: Props to steve whose hops made this. This brew really buzzed me fast, I think that its a bit higher ABV than 5.6.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2012 On tap repeatedly at the brewpub. A solidly put together beer. I must state that it is quite the honor to have a beer named after you. I was just looking for a home of r my hop harvest as my out of control hobby provided this year like none previous. A crisp bright amber in the glass. Thick tan head settles fast. Light hop nose. Central cereal tone with moderate malts and more hops than I thought needed to provide the 30-40 IBU. Cascade and Chinook provide a nice grapefruit pine heat. I have scientifically proven through rigorous repetition that this beer is a solid all day drinker.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Medium statured offwhite head with good retention and lacing. Brite, copper orange hued ale. Nose is fruity, lil peach, citrus and light pine. Lightly medium in body, crisp and gently prickly carbonation, lightly oily. Lightly sweet malts, hint of caramel, light graininess with fairly well balanced citrusy, leafy hop notes, piney also. Fairly dry finish with a soft bite and a little resin. Nice APA, easy drinkin. Props to my friend coldbrewky for the growler! Not to mention that Steve (coldbrewky) is also the supplier/grower of the locally grown hops used in this fine libation! Cheers to stevely on his hop farming skills! Not to mention the brow beating skills he used in getting them to use his hops and his name in this beer! Yer da man Steve! Fekkin Newyawker! Hop farm on my friend!
