Maggie’s Farm is a Belgian Saison brewed in the farmhouse tradition. German Pilsner & English Pale malts contribute a beautiful golden color and dry malty backbone which support robust fermentation esters. Special Belgian yeast adds complex layers of fruit and spice flavors & aromas (called "esters") naturally produced during the fermentation process. Strong tropical fruit notes and earth farmhouse character are evident in this ale. Maggie’s farm is moderately high in alcohol at 7.0% abv but a very light body and dry finish keep this beer drinkable. Overall look for a dry and surprisingly light-bodied Saison with a unique fruit & spice character with just a hint of wildness to the flavor.

Large, white head, handsome with good very good retention and nice lacing.Murky, gold appearance. Nose is soft with lemon, grain and yeasty notes. body is light for the ABV though coating on the palate. Started out with a brisk carbonation but has settled down, a lot. Dry maltiness, light fruits, citrus and earthy and bready notes, ever so slight peppery notes as well. Fairly dry finish, tame and quick. 750 received from coldbrewky. Thanks Stevely!

Bottle from my American friend coldbrewky, many thanks Steve. Orange golden color with thick white head. Strong carbonation. Aroma of malt, citrus hops, hints of strawberries (?), spices. Taste, malt, yeast, lemon, spices, again strawberries. Fruity finish. Very tasty Saison. Surprisingly well aged by USPS.

Draft at the brewpub last night for dinner. Sweet oranges in the nose supported by yeast. Malt takes a back seat to the citrus spice tang and robust yeastiness of this brew. Saison is a misunderstood style by some.....not Hutch. Yum.

On tap at Peint o Gwrw in Chatham. The glass was served a clear gold with a moderate linen white head that lasted through the first two sips and left light lace. Very pleasant spicy aroma with notes of lemon. The flavor is very similar to the aroma with spicy Saison yeast and mild lemony notes. Mild sweetness as well. Mild-moderate bitterness at the finish. Very solid American Saison.
