On tap at Mugs Ale House. Pours a cloudy orange with a thick white head. Aroma of sweet malt, lots of sweet fruits and grapefruit. Flavor of lots of malt, apple skins, bitter resiny hops in the finish. At first I wasn’t digging it, but it warmed up to me a bit. Good IPA, although it isn’t as hoppy as I generally prefer.

Poured from a growler recently. No specific problems with it, it was a sharp citrusy IPA. We drank it head-to-head against Flower Power, though, and it just didn’t compare.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ben4321 (2990) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUL 30, 2011
UPDATED: AUG 1, 2011 Location: Draft at Mugs Ale House, 7/30/11
Aroma: The nose is fairly hoppy, with lots of citrus, pine, and grassy notes to it
Appearance: It pours a clearish amber-red color with a fairly small off-white head
Flavor: The taste is fairly hoppy as well, light malty sweetness, heavier hoppy presence
Palate: The body is medium (plus), average carbonation, slightly creamy, with a dryish finish
Overall Impression:
It is always good to try another small brewery, which I assume this is, as I can’t recall trying anything from them previously. Anyway, this was a solid IPA for sure, a nice effort at the style, with a crisp and dry feel to it.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2013 On Tap repeatedly at the Dutch. A nice big hoppy full bodied critter that begs you to consume it after the first sip. Body is firm and well supplied by malts. Hops start with a nice grapefruit nose and sharp tang at first taste that opens up the palate for repeated imperial pints.
