Outrage is an IPA (India Pale Ale) featuring the robust and assertive flavors of American hops balanced by a slightly sweet malt body and high alcohol content. We use only the highest quality English malts to create a bright copper color and smooth rich body for this ale. Maris Otter Pale Malt, Crystal Malt, and a small addition of Wheat Malt supply the backbone and alcohol sweetness that help balance out this beer. However hops are the real feature of Outrage. Simcoe,Cascade, Centennial, Amarillo and Citra hops are added throughout the brewing process to yield an assertive hop bitterness reminiscent of grapefruit, a fruity and sweet hop flavor, and a complex aroma with notes of citrus(orange, tangerine and grapefruit), spice, and earthiness. Dry hopping (adding hops directly to the tank during the fermentation process) helps to further accentuate the wonderful and unique aromas of the five American hop varieties. Look for huge flavor and aroma from Outrage Ale with a noticeable “kick” from the alcohol content.

Clear reddish amber golden colour with tiny white head. Hoppy bitterness and caramel maltiness in aroma. Moderate bitter fruity hops and balancing malt in flavour. Very drinkable. Nice bitter aftertaste. Good IPA.

In short: A clean tasty pale IPA with typical citrusy, piney and grassy hops. Very good.
How: Tap at Tap-NY 2012
The look: Clear golden-blond body, medium off-white head with good rating
In long: Nose is very citrusy (fresh grapefruits upfront but also other fresh citrus fruits) and green pine needles. Taste has a typical solid blond IPA malt backbone, clean and crisp with slightly toasted honeyed cereals. Well malted but still balanced towards the hops which feel more grassy in mouth on top of their citrusy and piney character noticeable in the aroma. Grassy spiciness in the after-taste. Good beer. And for once people when people were talking about the outrage at a beer festival it didn,t ‘necessarily’ involves me and my lack of pants.

Tap @ Pony w James. A clear amber pour with splotchy lacing at the top of the glass. A tad grainy and earthy but overall a good fresh spice hop. Not pruney or piney, not quite earthy, but somewhere in the middle. Though I will say the aroma leans toward the piney side.

Nice, juicy IPA hand delivered growler from my good friend, coldbrewky. Lasting thin white head, nice lace sits atop an clear copper hued body. Juicy citrus nose with some mild dankedness and fruits. Medium bodied with a laid back carbonation, lil resin, light chewyness. Nice hop too malt balance artfully balanced to the hoppy side,THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Lil earthy, grapefruit and leafyness and dry grainy, pale malts. Dry finish is fruity but slightly light on the bite, for me anyways . Kicker up a notch with the bittering hops, Hutch! Still a nice quaffer though. Thanks stevely! Fekkin newyawker!

Orange brown with small off-white head. Aroma citrus hops and malty grains. Medium body, no alcohol and pretty easy to drink. Flavor is hoppy but there is a lot of malt here although not really too sweet either. Good balance. Enjoyable.
