Discovered this IPA at the Dutch Ale House in Saugerties, NY! Brewed by The Crossroads Brewing Company in Athens, NY, this IPA quickly became a favorite of mine. The beer pours a clear amber color with about a 1" foamy head. The first thing that reels you in and makes you want to taste this is the aroma of the beer. A beautiful citrus/floral hoppy aroma which really comes out in the taste of the beer as well. A really nice balance of hops and malt with a bitter finish that calls you back for more. Very drinkable and tasty beer!

on tap at my local spot, poured into a pint glass
a: light carmel/amber color. nice sticky 1/2" head with good retention. Reduzes nicely into lacing. Lacing rings the glass with each gulp.
s: grapefruit, bitter orange, caramel
t: nice caramel malt backbone gives way to cutting citrus bitterness boasting with grapefruit, orange and slight pine. Excellent!!!
m&d: medium bodied, drying mouth from the hops. Drinkable, but not really sessionable.

A - Pours a rich clear copper-orange color with a finger of white head atop. The head fades slowly down to a spotty layer atop the beer leaving behind some nice lacing in the process.
S - Aroma is full of lots of fresh citrus and pine hop aromas. There is also enough malt in the background to provide some balance.
T - Starts off with some nice citrus hop flavor and some malty flavors in the background. Through the middle some bitterness as well as some piney hop flavor comes through. The finish is a mix of some nice hop flavor with some slight bitterness as well as some malt flavor that lingers nicely.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth and crisp with very balanced mouthfeel. There is some nice light bitterness and sweet flavors but is also really clean.
D - Very drinkable. Really nice fresh hop profile that has a nice amount of bitterness. The hop and malt profile is really well balanced.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Glouglouburp (5613) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 29, 2012
In short: A clean tasty pale IPA with typical citrusy, piney and grassy hops. Very good.
How: Tap at Tap-NY 2012
The look: Clear golden-blond body, medium off-white head with good rating
In long: Nose is very citrusy (fresh grapefruits upfront but also other fresh citrus fruits) and green pine needles. Taste has a typical solid blond IPA malt backbone, clean and crisp with slightly toasted honeyed cereals. Well malted but still balanced towards the hops which feel more grassy in mouth on top of their citrusy and piney character noticeable in the aroma. Grassy spiciness in the after-taste. Good beer. And for once people when people were talking about the outrage at a beer festival it didn,t ‘necessarily’ involves me and my lack of pants.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2013 On Tap repeatedly at the Dutch. A nice big hoppy full bodied critter that begs you to consume it after the first sip. Body is firm and well supplied by malts. Hops start with a nice grapefruit nose and sharp tang at first taste that opens up the palate for repeated imperial pints.
