3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ben4321 (2222) - Hoboken, USA - JUL 30, 2011
UPDATED: AUG 1, 2011 Location: Draft at Mugs Ale House, 7/30/11
Aroma: The nose is fairly hoppy, with lots of citrus, pine, and grassy notes to it
Appearance: It pours a clearish amber-red color with a fairly small off-white head
Flavor: The taste is fairly hoppy as well, light malty sweetness, heavier hoppy presence
Palate: The body is medium (plus), average carbonation, slightly creamy, with a dryish finish
Overall Impression:
It is always good to try another small brewery, which I assume this is, as I can’t recall trying anything from them previously. Anyway, this was a solid IPA for sure, a nice effort at the style, with a crisp and dry feel to it.

Nice, juicy IPA hand delivered growler from my good friend, coldbrewky. Lasting thin white head, nice lace sits atop an clear copper hued body. Juicy citrus nose with some mild dankedness and fruits. Medium bodied with a laid back carbonation, lil resin, light chewyness. Nice hop too malt balance artfully balanced to the hoppy side,THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Lil earthy, grapefruit and leafyness and dry grainy, pale malts. Dry finish is fruity but slightly light on the bite, for me anyways . Kicker up a notch with the bittering hops, Hutch! Still a nice quaffer though. Thanks stevely! Fekkin newyawker!

On tap at Mugs Ale House. Pours a cloudy orange with a thick white head. Aroma of sweet malt, lots of sweet fruits and grapefruit. Flavor of lots of malt, apple skins, bitter resiny hops in the finish. At first I wasn’t digging it, but it warmed up to me a bit. Good IPA, although it isn’t as hoppy as I generally prefer.
