Cask. Golden color with a small off-white head. The aroma’s grassy, some orange floral notes. The taste is mildly bitter. There’s some funky grapefruit citrus sour notes in the finish. medium/light body, soft carbonation. Overall, OK but nothing exceptional.

500 mL bottle from Beers of Europe into a pint glass. Short-lived foamy head over a golden orange beer. Sweet, floral hoppy aroma. Light, bitter with a juicy sweetness to it. Very smooth.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Mortlach (343) - Rome, ITALY - DEC 22, 2011
22/12/2011 Cask & 500ml bottle. Dorata, limpida, magnifica schiuma bianca, fine e morbidissima, molto persistente. Corpo medio, carbonazione corretta. Golden ale spettacolare.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 stravale (387) - Inverness, SCOTLAND - NOV 12, 2011
Bottle from Beers of Europe
Golden light orange, clear, frothy white head, reasonable lacing.
Aroma - Fairly strong citrus hops, resin, bit spicy, sweet malts.
Taste - Citrus, grapefruit and resin, juicy citrus fruits, bit spicy and peppery, sweet golden malts, centre of palate is bitter with prominent citrus tang. Some complexity to the flavour.
Palate - soft carb, medium smooth mouthfeel, bit oily, bit sherberty. Finish - Dry, puckering, bitter citrus lingering finish.
Overall - Superb golden ale - very well made - easy drinking and very quaffable. Must try again on cask.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Joeh (2036) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - SEP 2, 2011
Bottle. A deep golden colour. A pleasantly hoppy golden ale but feels a little lifeless from the bottle and cannot compare to their cask beers.

August 10, 2011 - Cask, at Craft Beer Co. Clear gold with a smallish off-white frothy head. Honey-sweet with background Amarillo funkiness, an interesting contrast: some floral character. Taste is very light, but in a good way - totally sessionable, quite flavourful - Amarillo present but restrained; light honey/grainy malt in proper balance - no alcohol (almost 8/10). Light of body, mild carbonation - a medium-short finish - it’s a hop-forward beer that is not aggressive at all - light, refreshing, not too sweet, just something you could drink several pints of with ease. Colour me impressed.
