Bottled. Pours clear golden with a small, lacing, white head. Aroma of citrus, peach and caramel. Sweet flavor that ends up bitter. Medium bodied, watery to oily text. and soft carb. An enjoyable and crisp brew.

A very nice beer. Amarillo is one of Favourite American hops. Goo to be able to taste an American hop brewed by an English brewer.

Cask at Charlies Bar, Copenhagen. Clear pale golden beer with a nice lasting white head. Fruity hop aroma, peach, grapes, hay notes, candy, citrus, some pine apples. Fruity hop flavor, grapes, pine, mango, citrus, some peach, lemongrass with nice bitter finish. Really drinkable.

Cask @ Christian Firtal, Odense, right after a fantastic beer tasting in Ulfborg, just before I finally headed home. Pours clear golden with stable white head. Clear aroma of hops, with hints of citrus and fruit. Intense, bitter aroma of hops, with citric and grassy notes, and leafy touches. Rough, bitter aftertaste. Low carbonation. Uhmmm... a really good Golden Ale on cask...

Appearance: Clear light amber with cm thick white head. Aroma: Lemon, biscuit, floral and spicy. Taste: Low sweetness, low/medium bitterness and medium sourness. Palate: Smooth thick texture, light body, average/prickly carbonation, astringent lingering citrus tartness and bitterness in the finish with marmalade and spice at the end. Comments: Very good, thoroughly enjoyable and refreshing. Left a glass lace.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear golden yellow with a very thin white head. Aromas are mostly butterscotch, some citrus. Taste has a light bitterness, more sweetness of a caramel type. More butterscotch. Medium bodied, gentle carbonation. Finishes a bit cloying and soapy. Bottle-conditioning would have improved this immensely.

50 cl bottle from St. Pancras Station café. Drank in Groot Begijnhof. Bright golden color with orange tints and a low, bubbly head. Wonderful Amarillo nose, oranges, peaches, lightly tropical. Light bready malt stays in the background. Somewhat sweet biscuity malt flavor with nice hop flavors, fruity, some hay. Very nice showcase. Lightly carbonated, somewhat oily. Great stuff.

Golden color. Creamy white head. Big crisp hoppy fruity nose. The Amarillo really shines. The mouth has a decent back bone but it is a full on hop assault. Very well balanced. Light bodied. Very well executed and basically flawless for what it is trying to be.

Taste is mild hoppy an fruity and fortunately without the bitterness many hopped beers have. Will drink again!

My Bottom Line:
Spicy hop resins and their citrusy counterparts flutter within well-defined pale malts before a crisp bitterness takes hold of this Golden Ale’s elegant, dry mouthfeel.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the deep golden clarity. These guys work on colour marvelously.
-This feels like a Extra Pils with US hops and British malts! Strange, but oh so much fun!
-A delicate peachy trail appears in the aftertaste.
-Blanched nuts and honeyed sugars whisper through the flavour profile.
-Carbonation is much higher than the average UK, but when the beer’s this good, I have no problem with that.
-Drinkability is through the roof.
