UPDATED: AUG 13, 2009 London Drinker 25: Though it is pale and weak looking with a flea-bitten head it really packs a punch. Big pink grapefruit with sweet satsumas assault the nose with their crisp acidity. The big flavours balance perfectly in the mouth. Light barnyard flavours with hearty cereals and those fruity hops once more all fighting for your attention. A tingly brew with a refreshing finish. Very nice and expertly brewed. Bottle: It loses some of the intensity here but the delightful pink grapefruit is still great and gives it such a refreshing bite.

Bottle with Ben. Clear golden with a white head. Appealing aroma of citrus and malt. Flavour is well balanced hoppy. Citric. Orange and passionfruit. Marmaladey sweetness. Lovely sweetness. A fine golden ale. Delicious.

Bottle. Golden with a white head. Pleasant aroma, honey, marmalade, slightly peppery, lemon. Taste has honey, caramel, orange and citrus hops, taste like boiled sweet. Smooth and well balanced. Nice

Bottle 50 cl. Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of malt hops and citrus. Dry and slightly bitter in taste which is dominated by citrus with notes of malt. Dry and bitter aftertaste

Sample at C4 Pale Ale Festival 2012. Pours a clear and golden beer with a white head. The aroma is malt, sweetness and hops. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness and bitterness. Overall a good beer.

cask at Cockney Pub, Aarhus. Hazy golden, half finger layer of creamy white head. Good lacings. Light toasted malty, soft flowery nose with citrusy and hayish notes. Taste is sweet, flowery with a mild medium bitter, citrusy finish. Light body, oily texture, soft mouthfeel. Decent thirstquencher. 6 3 7 3 14

Drinks like a session ale but at 5% potentially dangerous! Lovely crisp bitterness with some grapefruit and pineapple notes, clear blonde and shortcake malt in the finish. Perfect level of carbonation and retains foam head down glass.

Cask @ The Wharf. Clear yellow pour with modest bubbly head formation. Aroma is mainly hoppy - cat piss, orange, pineapple, passion fruit, melon. All that is amarillo. Lovely. The taste is awesome. Pungent fruitiness from the amarillo hops, citrus, grapefruit, a lovely level of bitterness - just enough to make itself noticed and to balance out, but little enough to really accentuate all the amazing tasting notes of the amarillo hop. A lovely showcase of one of my favorite hops.

Cask @ Charlies, Copenhagen. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and moderate hoppy - grapefruit. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. Soft. 240412

Cask at CP&K. It pours clear amber, with a small white head. The nose is floral, mango, orange, passion fruit and white grape. The taste is orange, lemon, soap, floral, mango, white grape and passion fruit, with a solid bitter finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Great balance. Flavoursome and very drinkable. This really is as good as it gets for this style. Great stuff.

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with medium frothy white head. Wonderful hop aroma, honey, pineapple, resin, spice. Soft palate, well balanced sweet and dry notes, a decent citrus note, also a bit spicy, strawy dry finish. Balanced composition that wins over its subtle notes.
