Strong and substantial, this dark ale is brewed using roasted malts, and is dry-hopped for a fuller flavour. Robust yet easy-drinking, this wholly traditional porter is one to savour.

slightly plasticky, gushing, probably infected, luckily doesnt pass through into flavour which is a little meaty and savoury with toasty malt but unfortunately overly fizzy and thin.

Lovely gently chocolatey roasty aroma. Deep ruby, small loose head. Also coffee in the aroma later. Soft palate, carbonation low. Good roasty body, but not living up to the publicity put out by the aroma. Nice burnt finish. Pretty solid porter, though, can’t complain - worth it just for the experience of it under your nose.
