Magic_dave6 (3476), Glasgow, Scotland Oct 8, 2006 Updated: May 24, 2008Aroma is citrus and grassy and peachy and a bit of pale malts giving it a wee kick of sweetness. Taste is similarly complex hoppy, bitter and dry as hell, totally outstanding beer and no suprise to me at all that its in top beer in britian at the moment. REATE: Cask in Blackfriars: Awsome super drinkable, just amazing stuff. Iv never drank 6 1/2 pints as quick as what i did this. RERATE: Well iv had soo much and its just one of the best most drinkable beers ion the world. up from 4.6-5. RPillsbury (69), Nottingham, England Mar 27, 2008 Cask at the Three-Legged Mare, York. One of best beers around. Lovely aromas of lemon and malt but flavours are outstanding in this beer. I love how the spice and lemon get you at the beginning but the taste is finished off nicely with a complimenting bitterness. A complex, though well-balanced pint, it’s definitely worth seeking out and at 4.0%, it’s the perfect session beer. StueyD (590), King’s Lynn, Norfolk, Norfolk, England Aug 23, 2006 Golden orange in colour with a weak white head. A strong citrusy aroma of grapefruit and orange, hoppy with a biscuity malt undertone. The taste is dry and a very citrusy combination of grapefruit, lemon and orange. The hops and a smooth biscuity malt flavours come through towards the end, making a dry, yet smooth finish. (Cask @ Charters Bar, Peterborough, before the PBF06 opened). albertane (216), Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England Feb 21, 2008 Cask at the Three-Legged Mare, York. This is one of the best beers I’ve ever had. It’s a nice golden colour with a strong floral aroma. It’s extremely hoppy and flavourful with lots of citrus fruit. I love any beer that tastes this good while still being relatively low in ABV. Wonderful. imdownthepub (3937), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England Mar 31, 2003 Cask Conditioned at Banbury Beer Festival. Pale yellowy gold with short lasting head. A real star of the festival, refreshing and hoppy with citrus notes. The cask emptied early showing how popular the beer was. Flowery bouquet an excellent beer.
